In the bouquet ripe yellow fruits and a pleasant dose of oak. On the palate quite lush and rich with ripe yellow fruits, a slight touch of sweetness and good acidity. Still youthful. More modern than classical made, but a real pleasure.

Better than a bottle one year ago, but nothing exceptional. Plummy, good fruit sweetness but a touch dry on the sides. Summer wines at Stephen V.'s.

I haven't tasted this in a couple of years, and while I think it's still abit on the oaky side for me there's good depth and concentration and enough underlying acidity to keep it fresh. Quite nice.

Beautiful. Nose was full of so much - lemon peel, orange blossom, jasmine flower, wet slate, smoky vanilla and sandalwood. Great mouth feel with sharp acidity on the front and rounded tannins. Very amazing wine.

Aspen Food & Wine Classic Trip; 6/17/2015-6/22/2015 (Aspen, Colorado): There is much to like about this medium ruby, medium-bodied Burgundy. Sandalwood and raspberry aromas are flanked by tart cherry and chalk. The flavors mirror the nose and are supported by fresh acidity, light-to-medium, supple tannins and nicely integrated alcohol. Solid in the middle and medium in length on the finish, this is a well-made Pinot which would pair nicely with veal or pork tenderloin. Drink now-2018.

Aspen Food & Wine Classic Trip; 6/17/2015-6/22/2015 (Aspen, Colorado): This medium ruby wine offers expressive aromas of cranberries, roses, spice and black tea. Light-to-medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic and with medium-weight tannins, it delivers flavors in line with the nose and stays solid throught the middle palate. Closing medium in length and tart, this is a wine which should be most enjoyable over the next five years. Given its high acidity, it could otherwise become disjointed as the tannins diminish. Drink now-2020.

Even better this time. Medium to dark ruby. Elegant and ecpressive nose, typical chambolle-musigny fruit alongside some green scents. Satiny-textured, balanced and elegant with fine length. Drinking perfectly but could hold.

We happened upon this Echezeaux while at a tasting with a small wine merchant in Beaune. It was going for a "song" so we decided to hum along and picked up a bottle...among quite a few others. Very happy we did. Fine red berries with touch of spice. Good structure with an elegant, smooth finish. We will enjoy one sip at a time for the next month using Coravin. A big yippee!!!

In perfect shape right now. Screwcap, believe it or not. The white '07 Burgs continue to impress me. Exotic fruit on the nose, white flowers, fresh butter, integrated oak, a core of steely acidity. Long, perfectly balanced, rich yet refreshing, everything I look for in a Puligny. Drink or keep.

Good stuff. Plenty of acid and drinking well now. A bit of distracting residual sweetness or something otherwise would have rated higher. Will probably buy a couple more bottles to have for the summer.

Double Birthday Celebration for Fiona and Me - 2015 (Alex and Fiona's in AMK): An interesting contrast with the very young Michel Noellat Suchots that we had just before – this was actually quite nice in an old Burgundy way. It had a matured bouquet of dried cherries and berries and an unusual whiff of mint chocolates sprinkled with dried herbs, meat and spice. The palate showed a satisfyingly juicy fullness, with mellow flavours of sour plums and haw flakes with a twist of something almost salty in there. Not the most complex, but it had nice weight and balance for a 1975 wine. Decent finish too, with earthy notes ringed by a nice amount of Vosne spice. Time to drink up while this is still giving a good bit of pleasure – I am not sure it is going to last for much longer.

Monthly Tasting Group: Blind Pinots Worldwide (The Dakota, Mpls, MN): Hope fully this is the correct wine. Drank glass blind over an hour. So there's one anyway...nice fruit, ripe red berries, subtle earth, spice; introverted, cinnamon. Plenty of youthful tannin, cherry, dry, stems.
