Really all you could want in a Napa cab, that beautiful balance between dark red fruit, black cherry, cedar and early tertiary notes of leather. Ripe fruit, medium+ body, silky mouthfeel, slightly chewy tannins, 14.8% ABV but not hot at all, rather fresh with good acidic drive. $50 at auction, tremendous value for what I think was a special selection bottling. Bravo. |
