Tasted over a 90-minute interval from a bottle that had been popped and poured, it is immediately aromatically expressive of jasmine, orange blossoms, white peaches, rosemary and honey. Medium-bodied, beautifully fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (13.5%) and without detectable wood, it delivers flavors comparable to the aromas and retains good mid-palate density. Finishing long and crisp, this is an enticing expression of the grape. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2026. |

If there's a '21 Talley vineyard, I haven't heard about it. I tried it only a day or two after it arrived and I think it was a bit shocked. I found it more reticent (opened on release) than the than the Talley Vineyard that Kinero has been doing for so many years. That said, it's perfectly delicious, balanced, and age-worthy, perhaps even more age-worth than the Talley bottling. It should be stellar in few years. Never underestimate how these wines can blossom with time. |

The acids are a bit low, so I suppose you might stick with more mellow foods with this one, but what a memorable and pure expression of Roussanne. |

4/3/2022 - pocchia Likes this wine: 90 pointsBy winemaker Anthony Young, who also produces the damn fine vino from Denner, 2019 Rustler is a very lovely Roussanne from James Berry Vineyard. Need I say more? Putting together the magical fruit from James Berry and the talent of Anthony Yount, and you have bliss in a glass. Clear and sparkly in the glass, the nose hints at roundness and depth of flavor. On the palate, balanced bright (but not overly bright) acidity transform to a round, full plushness mid-palate. A slight zinginest at the end lets me know this bottle is alive. Really gonna hate it when everyone else finds out about Kinero and I can’t get any. We’ll done, Anthony and family! Stems up! |

12/17/2021 - West Coast Wine Likes this wine: 92 pointsPale yellow/straw visually. Viognier on the nose with ripe peach/stone fruit. Some floral notes but not overt. Med acid and full body. But all Chardonnay on the palate, as it warmed closest to room temp the Viognier started to come out and some ripe peach and texture was present. This is a great wine for the price and although not traditional at all works. This would be great with Crab Legs or Lobster! I think in a few years this will integrate better and be more cohesive but if drinking now open and let aerate or decant for an hour or so. |

Both Viognier and Chenin come through on the crisp and vibrant nose. Flavor nothing short of spectacular. Pure and clean, flavors as delineated as they are intense. Huge acids still play behind the huge fruit. Lingering finish. One of the most striking whites under $100 that I can remember. |
