A nice monotones earthy profile that is more moist soil/ wet moss than anything dried. Not a complex nose but nice freshness and elegance with some good development shown. Pallet is light on its feet, still tart acid which really holds the wine together. A slightly more concentrated cherry and strawberry note with the same florals. A bit more texture from tannins than you’d expect, leaves a rougher tongue. Light oak profile, not much of the earthiness. Proper length of finish. Overall a nice wine showing much better than anticipated for its age, beautiful and elegant fruit that still holds its own, acid is still present and strong, good finish. Really enjoyable |
