Medium nose of tea, white spice, dark fruit
Structure is going to collapse as fruit has somehow faded, with acidity surged at the end.

elegance nose with wet cardboard, forest ground, floral and cedar wood. Firm structure with silky tannin. But rather weak concentration. Some savoury, mineral palate. Medium- finish

The last of what has been an erratic half case- 2 corked, this one so-so, the others lovely. This bottle showed good colour, and the initial hint of plum and Christmas spices seemed promising, but it soon took on a dominant balsamic character (not VA though) that didn't budge over two nights. The palate showing austerity of both tannin and acidity. Where has that lovely fruit gone?

(Pre-Road-Trip Brunner) Dark berries, plums and bluefruits, meaty, mossy, mushrooms, if a hint rusty. Concentrated meaty umami palate, smoke meat funk, with again a rusty/bloody edge. Silky resolved tannins, classily structured, with great clarity. Long persistent finish, revealing sweet tobacco, truffles and mint. Yum!

Drank at Boisdales
Rich deep open nose with lots of dark fruit. Smooth round palate with a medium length. It is nice and at a reasonable price point.

Personally, I found this very exciting! Far exceed my expectation! Dark inky red in colour! Almost opaque! Splendid perfume nose of dark currant fruits, sensational! Incredibly thick juicy palate, sumptuous body! Very long finish! Will perform brilliantly over the next ten, fifteen years! From half bottle.

Dark red in colour! Nose of soy, smoky dark fruits and mint! Showing some dark fruits on the palate! Very smooth and subtle texture! Still are able to age a bit further!

Bargain of the year? Unlike the last taster, I see this as actually opening up a bit. Pretty approachable for a 2010. Black fruit, still a relatively muted nose. Extracted and pure. Probably a Cali wine blind. Great stuff.

This wine has changed last year; from open with lots of puppy fat into a more serious wine, darker in taste, partly hidden fat, starting to close.
So wait a few years and you have a fantastic, pure, high level Pomerol.

Nearly 2 years since last sampling I found this bottle to be bright but not deep in colour, with a surprising tightness to both nose and palate. This was so seductive in its youth, I'm guessing that this is now in a transitional phase and may be worth waiting 2-5 years.

At Monopole: Some mushrooms and musty earth on the nose, followed by soft leather, light pot-pouri, small red cassis berries. Medium body, soft, lower tannins. Not bad, but a bit musty, and soft acid makes it a bit flabby.

Deep rich Pomerol with nice sweet fruit, leather/cedar/chocolate, and underlying structure. Day 2 it had less structure and more sweet fruit. Very good for a second wine.

Fresh, juicy, fruity nose and palate, dense and decent length. From sandy terroir, but with very nice mineralite. Much too young, strong tannins and very tight in the end. I have some bottles and just wanted to check the 2nd wine from one of my favorite Pomerols. Double decanted 2 hrs, better, but not enough. Don t drink before at least 2017, maybe better from 2020. Promise of an excellent weekday/friday-wine after these years.
