A bit disjointed at first but opened up nicely. Even better day 2. Big nose of blackberry syrup. In the mouth; big fruit, but more red than the nose would imply. OceanSpray CranCherry would be the best descriptor of the fruit. Lovely herbacious finish brings you back for more. Nice wine. Pair with teriyaki flank steak, burgers, pork. Good to very good.

Dark ruby color with raspberry, pomegranate, cherry, cardamom and baking spice aromas. On the palate, it's medium bodied, and fresh with a very supple texture with raspberry, cherry, pomegranate and spice flavors. Satisfying finish.

2 hr decant served with Salmon (dijon/honey glaze) cooked on cedar plank. slight barnyard on the nose with dark fruits. well balanced acidity/alcohol and med finish. Was well received by all 6 dinner guests. drank with 2012, my first vertical tasting. very similar maybe a little more fruity.

Sweet on entry, full body, flavors of leather, tobacco, asphalt and coco, long finish but a hollow mid-pallet, just OK, might improve some with time.

Big smooth central CA Pinot. Black cherry and currant profile. Some acidity to balance. Rich fruit, full bodied but not over the top. Not an ager. Drink sooner.

Twist and pour (but should have strained; significant sediment) ... Very impressed with this one. Rich, lush and plush. Opens with big, blue-black fruit, but made more interesting with significant gamey, bacon and smoke notes. Firm tannic backbone, but not all pokey. Big, bold, in your face and my favorite Loring wine to date (Berserker Day buy).

Delicious. This was just as good as a Rosella's from 2011 we had yesterday. Maybe a little fresher and sweeter but not as complex. Loads of cherry and strawberry fruit. Very juicy and completely tasty.

Good, but seemed to be a little tight and not as aromatic as most other Loring's I've tried. Still very balanced with nice cherry fruit.

Maderized. Not the fault of the wine, though: blame 12 years of passive storage for a hot vintage made in a 3-5 year style.

At J & A's. Spicy and complex but definitely for current drinking, kind of fun/serious at the same time.
