Shows considerable improvement over the last bottle opened (July 2014). The prior bottle was very tight, tannic and not in balance, but none of this was surprising for a wine so young. Given time, I saw a good amount of potential in it (and scored it more on that potential) and have now been fully rewarded. Rose and intense blackfruit on the nose. Somewhere between medium and full bodied with great richness and density. Very pretty black raspberry and black cherry flavors with very good balancing acidity throughout. There's a lot of fruit here, but it never goes over the top. Much smoother and more integrated than I remember from last July, but with enough structure to suggest that this wine should continue to improve with peak still to come.

PnP. Not sure if my tastes are changing or if bottle is changing, but perhaps a bit too much oak. Too heavy a hand. Loring typically goes right up to line of ripeness. This may have started to cross it

A big Pinot for sure...black fruit and spice dominate. Really enjoyed this wine. If you like this style of Pinot...big and rich, then this is for you

Delicious and drinking well right now. Complex and well-balanced fruit, herbs, and slight minerality. The Clos Pepe PN remains one of our favorite Loring single vineyard productions.

In the sweet spot now. Fully integrated cherry, berry, spice, tea and earthy flavors. 1-hour decant was rewarded with ample aromatics, a luxurious mouthfeel and long finish. Just a little browning at the edge like a "Touch of Gray".

Fruity nose made me think of zinfandel. Juicy, fruity palate with an oddly dusty tannic finish. Seems more merlot with a touch of cab than pinot. Balanced and tasty overall, though I don't get any pinot character.

Good everyday quaffer. Great fruit, better as an aperitif than with food. Unless the food is very mild - fish, chicken, etc. Excellent values.

Dark crimson in color, this wine shows well focused and intense aromas of raspberry, black cherry and cardamom. The mouth feel was firm with hints of minerals, wild cherry, firm acidity and medium tannins. The finish was long in length with intense red/black fruits that intertwined beautifully with the copious levels of acidity. A winner.

Purchased for $44US, this is a gorgeous offering that is already drinking well now. I'll definitely look for more of this. Bravo.

Love/hate relationship with this wine. Good berry & spice but the high alcohol is a challenge. For the riper style this is well done.

This is still very fresh. Not much sign of aging but everything is fairly simple. Fruit may have slightly faded but nothing new has emerged. A nice wine but it is one note.

A nose of black cherry and spices, medium ruby in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, raspberry, some Dr. Pepper and spices on long finish, very good, drink now. www.winelx.com

Pop n' pour, this is nice right out of the gate. Spicy red fruit nose, with a similar impression on the palate, plus a very nice and lengthy red fruit finish with a bit of spice, raspberry and dark and bitter cherry. Got better as the night went on. Nice and tasty.

Better than 1st bottle which was way too early, but same comments. Bottle says 14.8% alcohol, but you dont taste it. Fruit still dominates, but not in an unpleasant way. This is going to be a good medium term drinker.
