Tasted yesterday amongst many other great wines. This one is amazing. Like a good Rhone, elegant yet full, start to drink from now on.

The bouquet is much more expressive than 2 years ago. Red and dark berry fruits, some clove, a bit rustic and also a light touch of sherry impressions. On the palate a sweet start, ripe red and dark berries, sweet licorice, soma cocoa and vanilla. Ok acidity and round, slightly drying tannin. 86 – 87 Ready now and no hurry.

This bottle had a bit more funk/barnyard going on than previous bottles, but it wasn't excessive. Still very good wine with a lot of depth. Great value.

Diep rood van kleur, volle rode wijn met stevige tannines, mooie aroma's van zwart bes, bramen, rijpe kersen, vanille, kruidnagel en iets groenigs. Mooie wijn maar heeft zeker nog 2 jaar rijping nodig.

Drank this wine at my in-law's place tonight.

Wine was recommended by a wine mate. Popped and poured and shared with my father-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Wine was purplish in colour, with fragrance and aromas of ripe ripe red fruits and chocolate. On the palate it is refined, reassuring and comforting with a long enduring finish.

This wine is lush, smooth and graceful in style. Comparable to a nice Cabernet Franc. Was pleasantly surprised that this is a Syrah and Grenache blend as they are usually more powerful rather than elegant.

Popped and poured, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, a barnyard lined with rose and lavender - super interesting, undertones of spice and blue fruits. Palate: Medium bodied, sweet blue and black fruit attack, spicy mid-palate presence, great balance, very clean and precise, not great depth but very harmonious at the moment. Finish: Medium-plus length dominated by spicy blue and black fruits. My last of 3 bottles purchased from Garagiste and I truly believe I hit the peak with this - drinking wonderfully tonight - can not imagine this getting any better than right now.

A private lunch (Restaurant Rijks, Amsterdam, NL): Clean, sweet fruit, ripe red cherries, hint of spicy honey, minerals and spice, quite refined, not rustic at all, silky texture, bright acidity, good tannic grip and length.

This is one of those white wines that would benefit from a decant. We originally served it at refrigerator temperature, which only revealed a lot of raw acidity. Let it warm up, get some air, and things start to evolve. No matter what, the acidity is the core impression of this wine. The color is golden with a slight tinge of green. The nose, and the palate, both smell and taste exactly like caramel coated green apples. There is a slight amount green garden vegetative taste. Medium plus bodied. Some ginger spice. Maybe even a little bit of almond like oily flavor. We give it 90 points for a long series flavors from lips to finish that change with almost every sip.

Apricot and molasses, salted sweet caramel with a nuttiness and vanilla aspect with slight petrol. I don't believe the vanilla/nuttiness is oak derived though; rich, waxy, almond, chalky limestone minerals; long finish, good acid, really excellent for the low cost.

This has aged very nicely. Fully mature now. Balanced, complex, meaty, savory. I wish I had more. A Garagiste wine that more than lives up to the hype.

First impression of bacon, meat and fried nuts. Some oak, then followed by dark, ripe berries. Solid palate, good tannins and overall a very good wine.

Wow! Feeling like this wine has really come into its own now. It has lost some of its rampant herbaciousness and has mellowed, but damn it is finally exhibiting the promise it showed early on.

Clear purple red. Reticent bouquet. On the palate a sweet start, ripe red forest fruits, cherries, ok acidity, mild tannin and bitterness. A juicy wine. Possibly it needs a few more years to develop a more expressive bouquet.

Based on this bottle, this wine still has a lot to offer. Was not expecting how full and rich this is without being overwrought. Very dark, not much aroma, with good balance between fruit and structure, with the alcohol not getting in the way.

I appreciate this wine for what it delivers at such a friendly price--it is fruity and rich without the heaviness of a lot of domestic efforts. The initial verve gives way to a certain sourness and the tannins stay hidden until popping up at the finish, which suggest to me that this wine would make a fine accompaniment to a lamb or beef stew. Wine like the one in this bottle make me curious to explore further the wines of this region.

The wine is a nice ruby red color. The very nice nose has black cherries, red raspberries, plums, crushed stone minerality, smoke, roasted herbs, meat juices, warm baking spices, and a touch of earthiness. This has medium body, fairly solid tannins, and very good acidity. The palate has some nice up front fruit followed by roasted herbs, minerals, grilled meat, and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish has nice length and leans more on the savory elements with the fruit adding a touch of sweetness. This is in a nice place, but should hold for another year or two.
