Color: Still deep and impenetrable. The rim is a bit lighter. Nose: Not very fruity. Some red sour berries. Much more on the savory side: Barbecue, smoked lard and fried bacon come to mind. Leather and eucalyptus, too. Mouth: Well it has definitely lost expressiveness and has become tired. The finish is a bit bitter. It is going downhill. To drink now.

Light clear, slightly greenish-yellow tint.
Fresh aromas of clean water rolling over stones.
Nice light body, bracing acidity, some tart lime zest flavors. Balanced with moderate sweetness and depth. Pretty nice!

Dark burgundy, brownish color.
Inviting aromas of pencil lead and plush fruit.
Soft fruit and supple mouth feel. Nice gentle tannins with a smooth finish. Decent combination of fruit and spice.

Some bottle variation.

Inky purple hue; flat finish. Not very spicy, tannins are not harsh but overall not much taste.

Wooooooody. And not in a happy way. The oak soooo overwhelms the limited fruit that the berries are buried. Lehmann used to make great value-priced wines. The 2-3 cases of the 1994 Clancy's I vaguely remember still constitute one of the best buys ever. I'm not sure if they've pushed all the good fruit into their their countless high-end bottlings, but I don't think I'll ever try another of the legend's wines.

I like the way this wine combines regional and varietal character. Dark ruby colour. Expressive nose of cedar and capsicum alongside blueberries, eucalypt and liquorice. Rich, balanced and faiely complex with a long aftertaste. Personally I prefer it to the Portrait Shiraz which is sweeter and less structured.

Needs a very long decant or several more years. Oak is extremely dominant otherwise; the fruit does come through with some time though and the wine is reasonably well balanced with a nice finish. Decent wine, but not great QPR in my opinion.

Smaller than expected even with big sediment and brownish color it had artificial nose that a slowly disappeared when decanting. Very fruity but somehow closed and not what I expected from a stonewell. Almost seemed overdue. Let's hope an additional day will help.

Still a dense dark purple colour, but with some red-brick at the rim. Appealing floral, dark olive and leathery nose, along with a little creosote. Swirling reveals much brighter and more primary fruit.

Quite soft on the palate, and not aggressive in the flavours either. A mix of darker fruit with a hint of leather with some soft but drying tannins coming to the fore on the finish, and I can see why the Aussie wine critics didn't rate it.

This might become quite interesting in 2-3 years time, but I understand why those seeking pristine and substantial fruit might be disappointed.
