Not as fat and rich. Loads of spearmint and a waxy note on the nose and palate. Fresh and vibrant on day two.

Very pretty subtle nose with hints of mineral, flint with orchard fruit, palate is quite clean with medium intensity and medium plus acidity which carries the minerality well, though does mute the fruit somewhat

Blossom, pear, wet stone, liquorice and a hint of grass. Briney and very mineral, with lemon liquorice finish. Nice but not memorable.

Great chard nose. Low acid. Not exactly chard on the palate. Short finish. A little round and flabby.

A little sulphur on the nose. Lighter in body but still with excellent intensity. A wine I kept coming back to and perhaps the favorite of 10+ of his wines.

Showing very well after a six hour decant. In-line with the quality of other C-M and P-M wines in the lineup.

Wineberserkers European Tasting (Zazie's, San Francisco): Slight butterscotch, white fruit, interesting note of saffron that came out on retasting after some air; palate has fantastic acidity, full bodied fruit, creamy but biting, medium finish. Very nice. 92-93

Quite rich and rather lacking in acidity upon opening. I was rather disappointed in this showing for a PYCM 2010. With air, it perked up and gained some zippy lemon vibrancy. Nonetheless, at this point not my favorite of the '10 lineup.

was very happy with this, some prior bottles had a heavy / oaky? / oily / smoky thing going on that made the wine disjointed, this bottle had a little of that when opened but after 90 minutes in decanter it had the acid and citrus-based tension to be super enjoyable, still with some serious body but balanced and not disjointed... lots of minerals as well... very nice on this night while playing bridge

Choucroute Garnie at Sarah and Jonathan's (Theater District, Manhattan, NYC): Nose is rich and has lemon, but it is showing subdued. The palate again shows lemon good acid, nuts, and richness. Just delicious. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 5-5.5/6, Finish - 5-5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1-1.5/2 = 15.5-17/20.

Silvery hay gold colour. Nose is saline butter, crushed oyster shell. Palate is rounded melted saline butter, lemon skins and succulent roasted lemon flesh. Followed by tons of minerals. Refreshing and mouthwatering. Good weight, length and a forever reverberance. Really impressive. Paired brilliantly with carpaccio of Hokkaido Scallops

Bright straw yellow, very youthful appearance. Aromatic nose with salty caramel, coconut, nougat, citrus, subtle oak and hints of mineral.
Good intensity with sweet and savory palate, along with nice ripe fruits, peach, pear and pineapple. Medium bodied with nice balance and fresh lively acidity. Powerful finish with hints of oak and saltiness.
I like the power and structure of the Meursault and this is very good, combine the power and elegance.
