Popped and poured. Mirrored my previous note. Such a terrific white rhone with equal verve and fruit. Couldn't recommend more highly. 92pts.

I meant to grab the southern because I have more. Rats. This wine is tasting great now though. Fruit forward with very little oak and hints of olives.

Lovely straw green color. Explosive nose, tropical fruit backed by Quartz and flint. Taste is long, coating, cool. Maybe a touch acidic, keep another year. Excellent showcase of WA Rhone varietal Marsanne.

Now fully in the drinking zone, has picked up a little weight, balanced, solid fruit. Will hang out for a while but appears to be at peak.

Last tasted 2/13. This bottle was opened earlier in the day, 5-8 hours prior.

A little more savory development in the interval. Needs more time. This is going to be awesome in 3-5 years. A buddy has a case and last night's handshake confirms my access over the years to come.

P&P, A very pretty and polished WA Mouvedre. I was impressed with the purity of the fruit, mainly cherry, that was full of snap and vigor. Spice notes around the edges added a nice supporting touch, tannins were well blended and seamless. I didn’t taste the dill component that Jeb Dunnuck found so off putting, nor the ‘tartness’ on the finish, I think we had two very different bottles of wine. My only qualm is price, I think this goes for around $65, yet the ‘Northern’ and ‘Southern’ blends go for $40, I don’t see a $25 increase in quality so I’ll stick to those two offering for reds, and the very underrated Northern White.

Nice Grenache blend from Washington. The nose is filled with black raspberry, damson plum, kirsch, violet, and spices. The palate is dense, dark, filled with fruit and spice. Definitely leaning towards the hedonistic side, but retains nice balance and is good with food. Could probably use another couple years to develop, but is tasty now.

Terrific mouth feel, but a short finish and quite hot. Yet only 14.5% alc., odd. Consistent on day 2. A lone caveat would be that I opened it the same day I got the shipment, hoping this is not fully representative.

Decanted 1 hr. The first 20 to 30 minutes the wines aromas and flavors were dominated by some new wood, but of little concern as it blew off pretty quickly. I love the musky aroma of the wine, a feature I am really starting to identify with all Rotie Cellars wines. Still a tad monolithic on the palate, but a quiet but steadily rising mineral streak asserts itself with each sip, beautifully framing the dark raspberry fruit. Very persistent form starts to finish. I have just one bottle left, but I am going to try to hold for at least 5 more years, better if it can make 8 to 10 as I think there is some real long term potential aging this wine.

Opened too early, I think. Nose is very attractive: fruity, meaty, savory. Not there on the palate. Tart finish. Still interesting and drinkable, but patience should reward.

Poured a glass and decanted the rest. It really opened up in the 30-45 minute range. Smells of red fruit (raspberry & strawberry). On the palate I was immediately struck by the light body. Strawberry, raspberry, black pepper and baking spice. There is a certain lightness and acidity to the wine that almost comes across my tongue like an effervescence in the wine that I really enjoy (it reminds me a bit of Maison Bleue Le Midi Grenache in that respect). Medium finish.

No notes taken, but this showed pretty well. Brooding dried herbs and leather on the nose. Full bodied on the palate with good balance. Pretty one-dimensional right now, but pleasant. Tannic on the finish. No hurry to drink these up, and it will be interesting to see if this develops any complexity with time in the cellar.

Dark ruby with bramble nose. Open one Hour. Dry dusty tannins, medium fruit, tart blackberry, earthy, roast beef with mushrooms developing with time in the glass, nice acid on the front with good balance finishing with some woody tannins. Moderately robust while still being restrained. Drinking very well and showed improvement over a couple hours, lovely wine at a reasonable price. Drinking incredibly well on night three, beautiful balance fruity with just the right amount of acid and tannins, a silky mouthfeel with just a light mineral for some complexity.

Clear light gold. Intense rich but oxidized nose. Apples, apricots and dried figs. Rich oxidized flavours and a rich dry finish.

The richness actually saves it. Otherwise it would be an oxodized mess.

The prior reviews nailed this wine, white pepper and red fruit on the palate, but not enough complexity for the price point. Not very heavy, not a striking mouth feel or finish, etc. Tasty and easy drinking, probably go 89 given the QPR, but blind its a 90.

Average and shut-down on night one, was a bit worried the '10 vintage VdP might have been a one hit wonder. So I let it stew for a few nights in fridge: bingo. Another great Wa QPR.

If you're reading this .. and I know you are: let 'em sit for another year or two.

A bit lighter and more primary than the '10 or '12, but quite tasty nonetheless. Greatly benefits from some air on the glass or decanter to settle down. Once aired out, it's a very tasty red-fruit oriented and expressive wine. Medium-bodied and with a smooth but structured attack. A smooth and pleasant quaff of bright (solid acidity) red fruits. Strawberry (especially) and raspberry coming through on this wine. Quite nice.
