Nice wine. Austere in that it seems to have not so much oak, but there are lots of other things that appeared as a result. Well balanced, etc.

Room to improve a bit, but... Would it be worth the wait...?

Drank over 4 hours and this never found its stride. Eith not my kind of wine or perhaps it's past peak. Light fruit, hint of olive, with a bitter aftertaste and not much else going on.

As youthful as the last bottle. Delicious tart red cherry and raspberries on the nose and palate with spice notes finishing with vibrant acidity.

Lovely, soft, smooth mature Pinot. Nice strawberry, toast, spice (cinnamon, clove, anise) notes. Just goes to show what a well made cold climate Pinot can do in California even after 13-14 years.

Still takes 20 minutes to open, but less high pitched than before, and hence, more present in both the mouth and the length.

I can't believe that this wine took EIGHT years to come around. But that it did.

13.4% abv. Medium burgundy red, very expressive aromas. Palate is dominated by red cherry, pomegranate and a distinctive spice note. Very nice now, will be better when this wine mellows in a few years.

This was the other really big and pleasant surprise in our blind PN tasting tonight. I was originally thinking Oregon and never considered this could possibly be CA PN. The acid, focus and fruit pointed towards either Oregon or possibly even somewhere in the Cote Beaune for me. I asked who's wine it was and Lonny claimed it and at that point I became convinced it was from the Cote Beaune. I shouldn't have asked. The combination of btl age at age 13, the best possible evolution and its Sonoma Coast AVA was enough critical mass to completely fool me. I loved this wine too and, I think, I may have owned and tasted this on release. I dropped off the list because the winery owner was disorganized about his allocation program and making room for new list people by cutting allocations for those of us first in. If you have some of these, you're an unwitting genius and have something fun to look forward to drinking. Never thought I'd regret dropping from the Radio-Coteau list :).

Blind Pinots from Oregon, Cali, and Burgundy (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Dark red color. Drank 1 glass blind over 90 minutes. wow, this one had me fooled from the start. I thought Burg, maybe Oregon - didn't think Cali. Great nose with earthiness galore, darker fruits, perfumed, funk, graphite. the palate is mineral dense, black fruit, black cherry, dark berries, spices, graphite, nice sleek tannins, well balanced, long finish. younger than i thought and oh so tasty!!. My #2 WOTN.

Not a huge Pinot fan but one of the better (or least offensive) from RC. Medium bodied. Lots of cherry/raspberry/red fruit. Fairly complex. Short finish.

PnP- Enjoyed this wine while watching OSU put the thump on Notre Dame this afternoon.
Black as night at the core, fading to a med purple rim. Still looks painfully young.
Smells of black pepper, alcohol (heat), bacon fat, brussels sprouts, licorice, and smoked meat.
The palate shows a wine full in body, with flavors of tart black raspberry pie, smoked meat, peppery spice, and wet rocks.
There are fairly supple tannins showing good grip and structure, becoming more noticeable with air; med acidity, and a satisfying finish that puckers the mouth with black fruit and smoke flavors.
This is a very nice Syrah, well-made and bridled back from being a full-throttled bruiser. It is well balanced, shows nice complexity, and still has a lot in the tank. Drinks exceedingly well now, and will continue to do so through 2020. Delicious.

Opened an decanted for an hour before drinking. Wonderful nose of blackberry and anise. Flavors of herbs, tart cherry and dark berry and just a touch of black pepper. Fine grained and very well integrated tannins. Finish is sweet (in a good way), laser focused, and persistent. Probably just getting mature and I will save my remaining bottle for a year or two. Very good example of Eric's touch with Syrah, and a fine example of why Sonoma Coast Syrahs find a welcome place in my cellar.

Thank you Alex for a glass of this wine during dinner. Bright plum color in the glass, nose of fig, plum, dusty earth, dry forest floor vegetation, and a hint of brewed tea, more of the same on the palate, almost mouth coating fruit, medium/big body, slowly opened over forty minutes to a nose and taste that included black cherry and roasted meat, showed a haunting quality to this wine on the palate, touch of acid and a long, dusty earth finish.

Nice and smooth, but not showing a tonne of complexity or interest. Seemed to be very correct, with nice berry and cherry fruit, but was hoping for some more excitement. Drinking about peak.
