Terrific complexity while maintaining a balanced, cool character. Blind I might have guessing SLH or SC Mountains. There is a forest like coolness here that pulls me away from a warmer Sonoma character. Surprisingly stout yet fine tannin. Focused at the finish. Its got those hints of mineral among the core blackberry. Terrific wine. The structure doesn't want to be forgotten. Could be better in 2-5 years. |

Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium+ tannin - still youthful and grippy, medium+ intensity, full body, 14.5% abv with developing flavors of ripe, almost jammy, dark red and black fruit - blackberry and black raspberry, baking spice, white pepper, and blackcurrant leaf with a medium+ finish. |
