7/28/2019 - YankeeRobio Likes this wine: 95 pointsSo smooth. The syrah plays a bigger part of the overall composition than the % shows. Super soft Grenache paired with bold Syrah. Yummm. |

7/27/2019 - jshufelt wrote: 93 pointsPop and pour. In the glass, slightly cloudy yellow. On the nose, lemon verbena, honeysuckle, and oak. On the palate, a wonderful pairing of assertive lemon with creamy texture. If I'm remembering correctly, all of our recent Sanguis chard experiences have been great; I need to remember that the next time the mailing list comes around... |

7/22/2019 - jonahfactor Likes this wine: NRA simple cherry jellybean bouquet and very fruit-forward palate upon first opening. But this fleshes out nicely with an hour in the glass, revealing secondary notes of tar, forest mulch and a hint of menthol in the finish. Lovely plums and black cherries. Perfectly balanced, this is a treat. Should go another 5 years. Drink now to 2024. Worth Seeking Out. |

7/18/2019 - SICILIAN-SOLE Likes this wine: 90 pointsAging well. Mature dark fruit. Integrated well. Just no wow factor for me. There are others in this category that are half the price and brings a lot more to the table than a pretty label. |

7/3/2019 - OG-Wino Likes this wine: 94 pointsAt the risk of echoing the last note posted on this wine, I, too, really enjoyed it. While quite rich, it has tremendous acidity to balance it. Fantastic mouthfeel, without being even the slightest bit cloying which is a risk with so many viogniers. Even better after a few hours of air, with more complexity shining through, especially as it warmed up a bit. Beguiling (in a good way) in that every time I try to focus on one particular flavor/note I'm instantly drawn to the next... Hoping to find more bottles of this, as it sadly was my only one. |

6/29/2019 - greekwineaux wrote: 95 pointsSuch a wonderful contrast to the Verve we had. Definitely dark fruit, and some spice and smoke. Has definitely progressed well since last time I tried it, and it has a ways to go. Great juice. |

6/29/2019 - jonahfactor Likes this wine: NRSalmon/copper-hued in the glass with an initial slight skunk in the bouquet that receded quickly to reveal strawberries, rhubarb and white cherries. Self-described on the back label as having “a bit each of a lot of varietals in this elixir,” this is an unusual rose’ for all the right reasons. Great texture with an herbal, fruit-driven rush onto the palate. Long, juicy finish. Uniquely Californian, this offering should drink well through 2021. Outstanding! |

6/29/2019 - greekwineaux wrote: 97 pointsGrenache at a seriously high level. Have had quite a few from Paso & SB, but nothing as complete and balanced as this. Have had it several times, and this most recent tasting was it's best showing. Looking forward to the next time. |

6/26/2019 - jshufelt wrote: 92 pointsChilled, pop and pour. In the glass, a slightly cloudy color halfway between orange and pink. On the nose, a mix of lemons and peaches. On the palate, perhaps not as full bodied and complex as the Antica Terra offerings, but it comes from the same space - while it still has that sour tang you might expect from a rose, it has much more fruit and an interesting clove and citrus twist, with a deceptively smooth texture. With a Greek chicken pasta salad, this disappeared very quickly. Great summer wine. |

6/18/2019 - oenophilemoose wrote: 90 pointsDecanted for an hour and swirled vigorously several time. A very nice blend and partial whole cluster fermentation was evident (which I enjoy). However, this wine contained an acidic edge which I don't enjoy. |

6/15/2019 - Stevere Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis wine has improved greatly with age. Excessive heat and tannins are gone while the dark berry fruit has come to the forefront. Full-bodied and intense, the syrah in this stands out and dominates the blend. (It also has some Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon.) The wine is near peak and is drinking great. |

6/11/2019 - Quiet Lion Likes this wine: 94 pointsDecanted and served with dinner at Twist Las Vegas. Showing beautifully with silky body, masculine dark fruit, light acid, and a touch of brightness from the Viognier. It's rare to find these on restaurant wine lists but they are a great value if you can. |

6/9/2019 - Wine Warrior 1 wrote: 93 pointsStill a baby but very approachable and drinking well. Balanced, fruit forward but not over extracted. a wine anyone would enjoy. I would have liked it better 3-5 years from now to let the tannins (firm but integrated) resolve themselves a bit more. Great wine. |

6/7/2019 - Quiet Lion wrote: 90 pointsThis fooled me on opening. I thought the chemical nose was brett and almost gave up on the bottle but I pumped it out and revisited it four days later. It wasn't flawed, no brett, but was more restrained than most Sanguis. An off bottle in some way but patience was rewarded. |

6/6/2019 - MAXIMUM SATISFACTION wrote: 92 pointsOpened in the bottle for 3-4 hours. Reductive with saline, flint , flowers, and only a very small touch of waxy stone fruit/citrus. There is a Riesling like like oily texture here that coats your mouth. Likely a better food wine than afternoon sipper. |
