Not my kind of wine, but it has some good green apple taste at the finish. Should be a little dryer.

Plenty of gooseberries and melon on the nose. Very pleasant. Some citrus. Does taste 'tropical' without being overly sweet. This went very well with fish and I can imagine good on its own as well. For a £11 wine, it's up there with bottles twice the price.

Characteristic of Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs; fairly dry, subdued cirtrus, and faintly grassy. Subtle lemon zest. Great alone or with seafood.

Strong mineral taste in a satisfying mid-note white. Fruit overtones but neither too sweet nor too tart or dry.

Great sauvignon blanc with nice minerality. Flint and stone aromas with flavors of passion fruit and grapefruit on the palate. Some hints of boxwood and black currant as well. Drinks well on its own as long as you like more mineral sauvignon blanc as opposed to some of the fruit forward citrus bombs more common to New Zealand.

Varietally correct. A little richness, but still very Pinot-y. Keeping well for 5 years old (under screwcap).

This one depends on your preferences.. the wine was light, almost colorless, with a very light bouquet of fields of grass. The taste was pleasant, low acid, low sugar, slightly minerally and grass-y (which is characteristic of NZ Sauvignon Blancs I believe). Limited aftertaste. So, if all that sounds good to you, this is your wine. I tend to like my whites bolder, crisper, with more color and bouquet, so I was disappointed. It's not bad, it's just okay.

Extremely light in the glass; very pale yellow, almost clear. Very nice nose. Tropical fruits, lemon, citrus, and perhaps even cream-coated banana. The mouthfeel lacks acidity at all stages, which is too bad. The fruit flavors are somewhat monolithic -- sweet lemons, a touch of pineapple, and some mild creaminess. The fruits may even tend toward the over-ripe and honeyed, at the finish. Some stoniness on the finish, too. Bright at first at the front of the tongue, but the spark fades as the wine sits in the glass. I like that this wine had a lot going on -- interesting for an inexpensive Riesling.

Nice smooth flavor. I can taste the passion fruit and citrus. It is dry and I can taste the mineral flavors, but they are not overwhelming

A worthy challenger to Cloudy Bay. Lychees, yet not sweet. lovely bouquet. Goes down oh so easily. Lovely with chicken, but I suppose with most anything.

Earth and mushroom on the nose. Acid a bit out of balance with the fruit- which is minimal. Medium body with minimal tannin and shorter finish. Decent, but New Zealand will surely do better.

Very perfumed. Citrus fruit, some ginger and a nice whiff of honeysuckle. Palate is fresh, very good acidity, quite deep in fruit, without having the cloying nature typical of some antipodean rieslings. Finish is fairly spicy, reminiscent of ginger. Also has mineral complexity. This is a very nice wine for under a tenner.

very bright, light red color. nose is bland, not much going on except for a bit of light cherry. Wine has more acidity than expected, not very complex, very light, taste of sour cherry predominantly. Not unpleasant, would work for a summer day, almost more of what I might expect from gamay than from pinot noir. Pretty average.

Good but certainly not great. Aromas of gooseberry and grass with a palate that is slightly drying. Lime, kiwi and tropical fruit flavours. There are better SB's that cost less.

Casual Drinking....had some hints of cranberries and blackberries. Silky like Pinot, but no real start or finish. Still enjoyable for everyday wine. Plus at $8-$10 bucks, not so bad.

Color: Almost clear
Nose: Lemon, peach
Mouth: Crisp, acidic, light tropical fruit flavors. My major complaint with this wine is that is is so clear and light and watery that it has no charm.

Full bodied, dark cherries and vanilla on the nose and firm, light tannins on the finish. A bit strong out of the bottle but blew off the heat after 1/2 hour and became much more balanced as the night went on.
