Quite developed with lots of tobacco and tomato leaf. Medlar, gasoline notes appear, too; it’s quite nuanced. Mellow and smooth on the palate, with good concentration and weight. Just a tiny bit of sweetness, but it’s savoury overall. A tad hot on the finish. Easy to enjoy. Don't hold. |

When we tasted this wine we really enjoyed it but after we realised it was a blend with MacLaren Vale we felt that perhaps MacLaren Vale was more for us. We bought quite a few of this wine and early on, we felt the wine was overdone and not nice at all. However now it is really excellent. It has a great nose, very smooth but clearly a big wine and perhaps not to everyone’s taste. It’s a shame that this was our last. |
