Very strong cherries and berries, somewhat saturating other aromas. Alcohol is too perceivable. A farly priced wine, however not sure I will but it again ...
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and cherry. It tastes like alcohol/hot. The body is medium. The wine has medium acidity.
Rating increased from 88 to 89 on second day tasting.

Mature Bordeaux-like aromas of leather, vanilla, bark and ink. Round, soft and meaty in the mouth, with fine tannins. Perfect with confit de canard.

Powerful, tanins pronounced, alcohol heavy on the pallet initially (14%), full mouth experience. Sweet, long lasting.

Dark garnet with bright crimson purple rims. Showing aromas of pepper, dark plum, dark cherry and spicy oak. Medium bodied, exhibits some meaty notes along with purple fruits, peppery spice, violet and hints of and earth. It has a spicy finish with a suggestion of heat and soft tannins. This is a daily quaffer, fairly simple and does not offer QPR as good as Don David Reserve Malbec.

Another LVMH-conglomerate wine that no one else on CT owns a bottle of except for me? Seems hard to believe; even if it's not a trophy worth showing off, it's still a solid daily drinker in the $10-12 range. In any case this is a very cleanly-made, fruit-forward but balanced (not overripe) cabernet, with good acidity, easy to sip but also plays well with food. Plums, cassis, and a hint of smokiness and cocoa dance on the nose and on the palate. Very fine QPR for casual weeknights or entertaining large crowds.

For better or worse, this is an LVMH concern -- how can I be the only person with a bottle in my cellar? Anyway, it has an opulent nose of grapefruit, passionfruit, white flowers and indeterminate spices; on the palate it is creamy and rich, but with just enough acidity to keep it in balance. For the price I paid, this is quite nice, and goes well both with and without food.

Hedonistic wine, big and bold, with loads of fruit and new oak but nicely integrated,
I can see myself having another bottle of this every now and then, depending on the price, obviously.

Tasted over two days. Absolutely stunning! While modernly styled, this remarkably balanced, vibrant, and rounded offering more than tips its cap to the Old World. Juicy, earthy, peppery, sanguine, and terroir driven. Wonderful! 94-95.

Purchased at a restaurant. Decanted about 15 minutes and a good Malbec maybe with too much vanilla oak flavors. Heavy weight.

Pleasant, somewhat monolithic Malbec in a modern style. Nose of dark fruits, cocoa, coffee, a hint of soy; on the palate the wine is dense and extracted, but has enough acidity not to be overly cloying. Still some moderately significant tannins, which make me think a few more years of cellar time might do this wine good and allow some secondary aromas and flavors to emerge.

Vanillary nose. Medium bodied, dry, very smooth, showing yellow stone fruit with vanilla and a creamy aspect. Quite nice despite of the oak derived flavors. Had a glass at Mattolaituri.

The wine is clear and bright with a deep garnet colour.

The nose is clean and developing, showing pronounced intensity aromas of oak (vanilla, walnut), MLF (toffee), black fruit (dark plum, dark cherry) and hints of flowers (lavender).

The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has high ripe and supple tannins with a high slightly warm alcohol. It has a full body and pronounced intensity flavours of oak (vanilla, walnut), MLF (toffee), black fruit (dark plum, dark cherry) and hints of flowers (lavender). The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish and very concentrated flavours. The alcohol and tannins are well-balanced with the support of the fruit concentration, however the wine needs to be more complex to be considered outstanding.

Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some more complex tertiary aromas over the next 2-3 years.

This requires significant time in a decanter. I gave it two hours. Inky black and deep garnet at the rim. Beautiful long legs, just like my wife's. Dark fruits, violates, licorice and tobacco at mid-palate, firm tannins and strong finish. Very nice if given the time to decant. Would benefit from additional time in the cellar.

Deep ruby red color. Medium (+) intensity on the nose with a lot of black fruit and earth going on. The body disappoints with a medium (+) acidity which is unbalanced with the other elements of the wine. Medium finish.
