Dark starting to show rip fruit/berries on the nose, a bit of oak and spice and tobacco. Full body, tannins have softened which leads to a really nice mouthfeel. Red fruit and berries, with some earthy/tobacco and spice notes. Drink now and over next 5 or so years. |

The medium to plus bodied palate is filled with a combination of dark red, blue and black fruits, baking spice, and touches of pepper and earth. The tannins are fully integrated and the acidity is quite juicy but balancing. Could continue to hold, but no reason to wait to enjoy this fine wine. |

4/20/2023 - VlgJeff Likes this wine: 93 pointsLast minute decision to bring this bottle to a BBQ restaurant so no time to decant. Cork pulled upon arrival and glasses poured. The first sip was buried under a cloud of barnyard funk that took 10 minutes to blow off. The color was a dark purple. The aromas are of dark red, blue and black fruits with just a whiff of coffee and chocolate. All of these follow on to the medium plus bodied palate, along with spice and earth, but with the dark red fruits coming to the fore. The acidity is balancing and the finish is relatively long. |

Very balanced, soft and on the sweet side. Personally I love these well balanced Grenache-Syrah wines. This wine is a favorite. |

To our positive surprise, this wine has progressed very well. In fact, we delayed dinner for 30 minutes so that the wine could aerate, at which time the wine was smoother and more balanced than initially. |
