Excellent. Typical of what you would expect from a the area, but a bit bigger and smoother.

Nice Strawberry and cherry. Still very nice, and fruit forward, with a bit of earthy grounding. Probably isn't getting any better from here, but still, not a bad value at all.

Popped and poured. Clear garnet color. Nose of Asian spice, sour cherry, cranberry, red raspberry. On the palate, silky with bright cherry, cranberry, and clove. Very balanced on the finish. Really well done. Drink or hold.

Bramble and red cherry, along with savory spice. Perceived alcohol higher than stated 13.5% but still balanced with good body. Tasty with medium finish.

This initially had a lot of heat on the nose and on the palate it was tight with restrained fruit. Several hours of decant blew it off and opened the red berry taste, thought it was still pretty earthy. Nice acidity. A little disappointing compared to what I remember of the other Tudor's I've had, but still fine after giving it plenty of time to air out.

Really nice Santa Lucia wine for about $30., much more like Burgundy than CA central coast. Subdued raspberries on the nose with a hint of wet moss. In the mouth it has good fresh red fruits and loads of earthy goodness. The only flaw is it finishes a bit hot.

Still very similar to last notes on 4/26/14 only more subtle. Shows very well for an 8 year old domestic Pinot (of course excluding Kistler, DuMol, etc that can easily go that long). Still a solid 90 but drink up as this is going nowhere but downhill from here IMO.

Pleasant surprise. Earthy nose. More Burgundian than Cali. Nice black raspberry and black cherry flavors after about 20 minutes. A very good value at WTSO price.

PnP at cellar temp it's all spices, earth, and a bit of cherry on the nose. Something savoury as well. Palate matches the savoury note with some nice mushroom. The extra time has done well with this wine.

After some air and warming up a bit it's even better. Excellent bottle - wish I'd paid closer to the community value for it, but c'est la vie.

Opaque purple garnet. Very ripe brambly aromas of dark dried fruit. There's a salty smoked meat, brambly, slightly mineral character on the nose. The palate is rich and medium to full bodied with some acid to hold it together. Raisined on day two. Very ripe and could've easily been mistaken for a zin.

Garnet in the glass, bit of earth and red fruits on the nose, palate of bright bing cherry, hint of pomegranate and balanced earth. Delicious.

Nose: Nice sweet red fruits, forest floor and tree moss aromas. Palate: The sweet red fruits show (raspberry and cherry) with good richness, acidic lift and a medium length finish. While not worth the full retail of @ $45 this is a very good QPR at $20/btl from WTSO as it is a solid mid-level Pinot for a cheapie price.

This bottle seems to be singing, the inimitable SLH bouquet, lighter on fruit and more spice and forest floor, perfect with leftover cassoulet.

Medium ruby in the glass, light edges. Nose of red berries, cherry, hint of earth and wood. Tart cherries on the palate, oak, star anise and notes of plum, medium finish fas too soon. Delicious with Asian fusion, lemon pepper rubbed pork tenderloin.

Pretty typical SLH nose, subtle red fruit with a bit of earthiness. Cherry & Strawberry flavors, some minerality and a bit acidic. Finish faded quickly. Better than the last couple bottles, but still past it's prime.

Poured it into a decanter and immediately back into bottle through venturi. On the nose I get strawberries, some cola, some lilac, and some minerality. The strawberry and cola components carry through on the palate along with nice acidity, wood, and a bit of heat. Decent pinot for the price.

Maybe a better bottle, but there was a far more interesting nose, strawberry and dried apricot notes, musk and (yes) oak, than at the previous tasting not long ago. And I did not get volatile acidity today. But this is one to drink up.

Frndnpa has this one about right, though I liked it slightly better than he did, or have lower standards. I get some fruit here but not much, also a little volatile acidity, some spice, something floral, a bit of funk, and lots of oak. Not a flawed wine but perhaps over the hill. Impressive bottle, wish I were more impressed with the contents.

Light ruby color, dusty nose, takes some time to open up in the glass. Classic Burgandian style Pinot noir, tight and woody. Tart cherry on the palate, short stingy finish, not our favorite from SLH.

Certainly old world in style, which I dig. Spice, cola, touch of barnyard. Moderate cherry fruit. Good acidity. Nice buy at $20 in PA.

Light bodied, black cherry flavor, dirt and tar, good acidity, more of an old world red burg which I prefer. Gave this plenty of time to breathe as I wanted it to get better but never got to a full harmony.
