Deep dark crimson, with wide, slow legs. Blueberry, cedar, wet leather, and spice nose. Medium bodied, delicate yet powerful, blackberries, black cherries, well integrated sweet tannins, dark chocolate, and a long finish. Just wonderful.

Slightly rusty magenta. Big fresh strawberry nose, with vanilla and earth mixed in. Medium bodied, crushed raspberries, sweet cherries, soft tannins, a bit of heat, and a tangy medium to long finish. Good now, but I think it can get better in the next couple of years.

If I recall from a recent Woot, this NV was bottled somewhat recently. I drank this both chilled and at room temperature. I preferred it at room temperature. My first white port. Was nervous initially at how this would be but trusted Peter Wellington. Glad I did. Unique yet delicious. Others have described it well.

A crowd pleaser now, well balanced, if somewhat soft, plenty of dark fruits, spice and pepper.

Still tight on PnP, this opened slowly with time/air but was spicy and tannic initially. Was much better after 2 nights vacu-vin'd, leading me to believe that this still has plenty of life in it. On 3rd day; plums, blueberry and blackberry with well integrated oak and just the right amount of peppery spice on the medium+ finish. Medium bodied wine with medium tannins. Smooth and enjoyable. Peter's wines are generally unfined and unfiltered so I was surprised to find virtually no sediment in the bottle. Drink or hold.

Possibly best ever from here. I've been enjoying this "tooth-stainer" for nearly a decade, and the production has always been small. Opaque purple/black. Med. body with subtle black-fruit aromas that expand with airtime. More balanced and refined than previous vintages. Although very young, this is already quite impressive. Drank solo (without food) with friends last evening, and the bottle disappeared quickly. The palate showed beautiful blackberry, blueberry, cherry, mineral and earth tones. Med.+ acidity. Med.+ finish. I had intended to let this rest for a few more years . . . But it was thoroughly enjoyable, and has some new fans as a result. The 15.7% abv is not even noticeable. QPR. Drink or hold.

The wine is clear of sediment and dark red in color. The nose is of ripe, dark fruits (blackberries and black cherries) with some nice tobacco/dark vegetal notes. On the palate are dense dark fruit flavors, black pepper, and a slight vegetal streak. The finish is long, with perceptible notes of fruit and black pepper. Highly recommended.

A little more leathery than I liked out of the gate, but improved with air. Nice wine from Peter and from this vineyard.

Good acidity and some round drying tannins during the finish. Complex flavors, fantastic wine! My wife's favorite Wellington. Paired wonderfully with a lightly seasoned t-bone. We are going to miss your wines, Peter Wellington.

Not as bright as the 2011 we had a few days ago. Less tart but a deeper fruit. A nice meaty white.

Quite tasty. Tons of fruit - strawberry and cherry liqueur. While initially somewhat overwhelmingly fruity, with some air it turned into a more balanced version of itself with herbs and earth to balance out the fruit. This is good now but will likely come into more balance as the fruit fades slightly with age.

Nice cab with a pleasant tannin structure. Popped and poured. Drank by itself and everyone loved it. Typical dark fruit Cab. It was nothing too complex or spectacular but it was enjoyable and certainly was a pleasant surprise regarding QPR wise. I would buy it again although not sure it will last until 2019 as Cellartracker suggests. I would drink it sooner than that.

PnP it's plum, dark cherry, hints of menthol, nice acid balance (although could be more acidic), and a certain meaty depth to it. Not in any way disappointed.

Shut down for a bit and then came back with more complexity and even a few greener notes. Nice wine. I'm curious to see how it evolves over the next few years.

Purchased July 2012. Apricot, toffee, peach syrup, citrus blossom, clover honey and some heat. Although it showed some signs of age on PnP, it still improved over the 3 days it took to drink it. Delicious!

Very dark crimson. Lots of blueberries, cardamom, and a hint of bacon on the nose. Medium to full bodied, blackberries, black pepper, well integrated tannins, good acid, dark chocolate, and a medium to long finish. Its in a very good place right now.

The cork was a little crumbly, but, fortunately, the wine was still quite fine. (And I know better than to NOT run a Wellington through a filter, even when I'm not concerned about cork crumbs!)
Mellow and soft, but not at all flabby. Definitely getting the tobacco and cedar and dark fruits others have mentioned. Magnificent with a mesquite-grilled strip steak for the holiday weekend.

Not seeing 'overwhelming' fruit @ PnP, but clearly still primary and lacking balance the first day. By day three/four in the fridge this settled down into a fine Wellington. Drink now, but not without a leisurely decant.

Popped the cork and immediately poured a glass. Initial nose is dominated by cherries. After a few minutes in the glass I still get cherries although not as dominant. First drink yields tart fruit, blackberries and raspberries. Enjoyed with grilled strip steak, roasted vegetables and peorgies paired well. A little spice came out when paired with the meal.

A bit less fruit, a bit more bottle bouquet than last time. Tannins are still present but sweeter. Nice long finish. Getting better with age, like a well made cab should. Drinks like a $40-50 bottle.
