Candy apple red. Red fruity nose with a touch spice. Medium bodied, cranberries, pine needles, cherry cola, barely there tannins, good acid, and a medium to long finish. Reticent the first night, but singing on night 2.

Still lots of fruit, with more spice coming to the fore. A little syrupy on the finish. Best one yet and disappeared quickly.

Settled down significantly from where it started 5.5 years ago. Low fruit on nose and taste. Very smooth, some oak and spicy characters showing but integrated well. Drink up, I don't think it will last much longer.

Deliciousness! Earthy and mineral with something I can't quite place. Just so savoury. Middle weight, nice acid balance. Good with absorption pasta.

This one has mellowed out tons. Strong taste of chocolate. I do believe it's time to drink this one if you haven't already. Great QPR and great per se. Pairs great with Netflix.

Still cruising along, still very drinkable, still very fruity. (And it's still well-disguised that this is kind of an alco-bomb wine ... 15.6%!)

Took about 5 minutes to open up after initial pour immediately upon opening. Still drinking beautifully. I won't hold the last 2 bottles indefinitely, but I'm confident it will last nicely through the next year or so.

Poor quality control, Ty Caton. :-(. Every bottle is a different mystery waiting to be opened, although all (non-corked) about the same rating. This bottle is fruity; almost Zin like.

Decent red blend. It's losing its fruit and getting dry and dusty. Perfectly adequate mulled with spices and mesquite honey though! :-)

Even though the calendar has moved to 2015 I don't think this is ready for "panic drinking" yet. I am noticing a more pronounced meaty-smoky-ness to it now.

Drank after a 1990 Dom Perignon and actually it didn't suck, considering. In fact, this was the best bottle that I've had of these! Who'd have thunk it'd improve over time... the first few bottles were quite rough but this one was very nice.

This was really singing a year ago, not quite as good now but still enjoyable. Agree with iByron that it's losing some fruit and picking up (chewy) tannins.

Bright transparent garnet red. Cherry and graphite on the nose. Medium body with oddly firm tannins. Very tart cherry and slightly bitter on the finish. Fruit not where it should be. Probably on the decline but still a good foil for rich Italo-American fare.

Vinturi'd and decanted.
Getting some menthol/eucalyptus, and maybe a hint of cloves on the nose. On the palate it's cherry cola, and just a little astringency. Fortunately I have plenty of this, so I'll be able to see how it plays out over the next couple of years. :-)

Quite tasty, and had picked up a little more earth again from the last bottle, but the funk blew off relatively quickly. This was just a fantastic wine and I wish Peter/David had made more of this or more vintages of this. By leaps and bounds the best Pinot at this price point I've ever had.

Still holding up well, benefits from some air. May be at or near its peak. Less spicy now, still fruit forward with raspberry leading the way.
Additional creme de cassis notes filling in for some of the spice. Mild tannins on the medium finish. Starting to throw some sediment.
