Attractive mature red plum color. Initial pungency on the nose, but, then, a mélange of tree fruit aromas. Red cherry flavor, held back by, almost, a peach influence, on introduction to the tongue. The wine slides back over the tongue and under the palate without much revelation. Some dustiness on the finish. It is a medium-bodied, easy-to-drink wine. I can see this as a good accompaniment to a duck or a pork entree.

Served with grilled grouper. Light red color with clear meniscus. No sediment. Baking spice, cranberry, red currants & stemmy on nose. On palate, bright cherry, cranberry & baking spice with medium acidity and long finish. My best bottle to date. Will look to buy some more current releases from this producer.

Bought this blind when passing through the area, attracted to it's super pale color. First day it offered NOTHING. We corked it and put it back in the fridge, just in case it was playing dead. Next day came the reward: very dry, almost savory, but briney too and very nuanced. A terrific food rose.

A subtle yet complex effort, aging well. Hints of lemon, orange peel, apricot, spice, a touch of oak, wonderful acidity. All blended with personal style in excellent balance. Still may have a few years of development left.

Pours densely translucent purple. Aromas of red and blue fruits, some olive, prominent pepper. Palate of red fruit and (mostly) blue fruit, pepper, hint of olive, nice acidity. A little alcohol heat in the finish. This is a nice wine, but was expecting more. It is maybe still a little rustic in its youth, and may come together more with a few more years - I probably popped it too early.

One of my favorite SRH PN offerings, still impresses, in stride now. Appreciates the cooler side of your pinot temp scale.

Glowing ruby garnet with medium viscosity in the glass. Nose of black cherry, earth, spice and vanilla. Secondary perfume. Medium body with present red fruit, spice, earth, black fruit and sarsaparilla on the palate. Spice and white tea build on the back. Med-long finish. Great hand and quality, but immemorable.

Interesting wine, but almost unrecognizable as pinot noir because of excessive ripeness. Not exactly my cup of teas. Thankfully, I think this producer has moderated their style in subsequent years.

I think this is the first bottle I've tried of the Pinot. Elegant and lithe at 13.1% ABV, we drank nearly the entire bottle with our ravioli lunch. Red fruit, but lean, with an acidic streak that I like a lot. There is an underlying green note that only adds complexity, and there is an earthiness. Very nice. Up there with Arcadian in my book among CA Pinots.

Another marvelous bottle. Incredible aromas -- strawberry, rhubarb, and bing cherry, with notes of orange rind, mulled spices, clove and hard candy. Luscious rhubarb and strawberry on the palate, with a note of black cherry and more orange rind -- washes over the palate with waves of spice and a hint of cola. Bracing acidity. Long finish.

Marvelous. Has the high-toned red fruit profile that I really love in a pinot. Aromas of cranberry, pomegranate and spiced cherry intermingle with notes of orange peel and other citrus, clove and nutmeg. The wine slides over the palate with pure flavors of cranberry and spicy cherry, with more nutmet and clove to keep it interesting. Great acidity and a long finish. Will age well.
