4/1/2024 - Quaffing in Colorado Likes this wine: 94 pointsDynamo hummm yum. Sabon is on! Sweet raspberry liqueur, kirsch, plum, garrigue, stones, bit of blood, fat, and tobacco all in perfect, creamy, velvety, acidic, tannic harmony. |

For CDP, this is balanced and drinking well, I hope it stays that way for a decade. Served blind alongside a simpler Rhone, all 11 tasters preferred this. |

3/9/2024 - 3daywinereview.com wrote: 95 pointsHigh/Low Blind Tasting III (Eagan, MN): High Low Tasting: No secret this was my favorite wine of the tasting. Excellent showing and low that funk along with gravel, earth, spices, red berries, stone and tar. Just a unique profile and very nicely balanced. Could drink the whole bottle for sure. 2 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (2) |

1/30/2024 - Jeff Leve wrote: 95 pointsOne of the wines of the vintage opens with cinnamon, flowers, apples, kirsch and spice in the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is creamy, soft, and filled with sweet, ripe, round, cherries, black raspberries, and strawberry nuances. Vibrant, elegant, and open, the creamy textures, and freshness is a perfect fit for all of its red fruit. The wine is produced from 95% old vine Grenache with 5% coming from various, assorted, allowable grape varieties. Drink from 2025-2035. |

1/28/2024 - klang Likes this wine: NRNo mistaking the maturity of this one, but saved by a generous helping of sweet, ripe fruit on the palate mingling with the slightly funky aromatics. Holding on and giving pleasure, but on the basis of this bottle, definitely nearing the end of its drinking window. Cork was excellent, not at all saturated. |

1/27/2024 - JJYoyo Likes this wine: 93 points1 hr air. For science. It’s of course way too early to judge this, but we’re gonna do it anyway. Loads of dark berries and plum, unobtrusive tannic structure, surprisingly light on its feet. Loads of potential. For now: |

12/10/2023 - SparkyMI Likes this wine: 94 pointsFrom Magnum. For the first 2 hours after opening, I was concerned that this was just too old and fading. After 2 hours, this wine became so youthful and alive. Brilliant bottle from a great producer. This wine still has years ahead of it if properly stored. |

10/15/2023 - Crunge wrote: NRPnP at cellar temp. Sour cherries on the nose and not much else. Muted flavors at first, and my wife and I both agreed it needed to warm up. It really needs air at this point; after an hour it started adding weight. Smooth tannins and sour cherry flavors with the slightest hint of earth. It may have the stuffing there, but wasn't showing it tonight. Hold or give a long decant. |

10/13/2023 - Whitman wrote: 95 pointsThis is a special Neuf. First sweet tobacco, also smoky aromas and black cherries, plum and blackberry. Juicy, deep and rich, but also a lot of power and bitterness, but all the time a sense of purity. A pretty long finish. |

10/6/2023 - americanstorm Likes this wine: 91 pointsAbout 20 minute decant and then drank over about 2 hours. While a decent wine, for the price point, I was totally underwhelmed. Lots of blueberries on the pallet and nose. Still noticable tannins. My friend commented on how balanced it was. Good mouthfeel and finish. Just expected a lot more given its price and the comments others have made. |

10/1/2023 - George C ATLANTA wrote: 97 pointsLikely the best CDP that I and my wine dinner / aficionado friend have ever had! From their likeliy best vintage and stored absolutely perfectly. The cork was like new, zero seepage. Wow!! Leather, dried figs, prunes... absolutely delicious and continuously evolving in the glass. Worth the $500 at retail of admission? Pricing at this level of wine is utterly subjective, not cost based -- as in other fine things. |

6/10/2023 - MAXIMUM SATISFACTION wrote: 96 pointsDrank from a magnum over two days. Really young and primary. It’s good but needs time as it’s lacking the flash and opulence of other 19’s. Baking spice, dark chocolate, graphite, cherry, pepper and dried herbs. Fine but persistent tannins. Give it five plus years. |

3/19/2023 - Nontaco Likes this wine: 96 pointsA profound, smooth and special CdP. Drank at Blackberry Farm (The Barn). Not otherworldly like Jeff Leve’s experiences but this is first-rate CdP and was eye-opening for how classy an aged CdP can be (seemingly losing no steam). |

I wanted to cry as I poured this $120 bottle into the sink. Instead I got drunk on some lagavulin. Lagavulin never gets corked. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (2) |
