So, decant with big splash, splash in a glass full, heavy swirl and voila! transformation into something drinkable. When we buy anything with Shiraz on the label, we expect a big fruit forward, high alcohol wine that is almost black. No surprises here, we expected fruit, we got it. There is blackberry from the lips to the stomach. Probably too much brown sugar taste on the roof of the mouth. Vanilla everywhere, but it not really hurting anything. Just barely enough acid to hold things together. Tannins? As Joel has always insisted, "No Wimpy Wines" |
