Yeasty, sourdough, lemon and kirsch nose. Youthful and bright with a lithe feel as the cherry mid turns to lemon on the finish. Very pure but maybe a little simple right now.

Really fragrant nose with fresh pea shoot, crisp green pepper, grass, and gooseberry. Sweet touch on entry with wonderful, rich tropical fruit at mid. Soft feel throughout with only moderate length on the finish. Some stony tones at mid. I'm not sure why this wine has gotten so many poor reviews. The aroma is classic and not overdone. It would be a wonderful example of kiwi SB if the palate had some length and drive.

Beeswax, lemon, yellow flowers, and leather. Bright and fresh with a Savagnin-like tart yellow plum note. This is vibrant with some subtle stony notes on the finish. Nice wine. Good balance. Just lacks complexity.

Pure, high-toned, floral, fruit cup...classic Beaujolais nose. Medium-light body with fresh red fruit:cherry and cranberry. Good length and persistence with a little spice and plenty of floral tones on the finish. Really lovely, pure wine.

Really dense muddy blue purple color with ruby rims. Dusty, earthy, licorice, forest floor, black cherry, fig, and subtle smoke. Medium body with surprising elegance for the density of color and nose. The finish is fresh even though it centers on dried fruits (cherry, fig and maybe a little cranberry-or something red). Tannins are nicely wrapped in the fruit. Good length, especially for the money. Easy to drink and has breed well beyond its price.

Reticent, lemon verbena, vanilla, and Sauternes-like apricot skin on the nose. Soft and very smooth with green apple and subtle herbs on the mid. Sweet mid that turns to lemon on the moderately long finish. Nice balance here.

Bright, lemon, floral, slightly high-toned like lemon dish soap. A stony side too. Medium body. Turns tropical at mid with strong pineapple that really pops. The acid is a little high for the concentration, making the finish seem a little simple, although it does have drive.

Open, oxidative nose with date, almond, cherry and vanilla. Vibrant entry. Sweet sour cherry notes with bitter almond at mid, then vanilla/bourbon notes at mid. The finish is red with very bright acidity that keeps it fresh and easy to drink. I didn't like this wine as well as others at the table but respect many its lithe feel.

Lifted, frangrant nose with lime, stone, mint, pear and hazelnet. Lovely nose. Silky entry that turns to racy lime and lemon at mid that stains the palate with razor sharp acidity. Crazy fresh for its age. I would guess this as 5 years old at most, except for the fragrant bouquet. Beautiful. Finish goes on and on with citrus and mineral notes. Very electric.

Beautiful, fragrant black/white pepper nose with lovely animal, iron/blood Brett notes. Funky, feral and fun to smell. The palate is fresh with racy, almost Riesling like acidity keeping it taut. Under-ripe raspberry, mineral and steely. Medium length. This still has great life in it. Nice food wine with lots of soul.

A bit Jura-like on the nose. Apple, almond, toasted brioche, yellow flowers and subtle honey. Medium body with a rich mid-palate that shows honey and apple. A little like an apple streudel. Good persistence but perhaps a little too sweet for balance. Refreshing though and ultimately may not handle lower sugar bc of the high acidity. Good spice.

This has a very unique nose: somewhere between Blaufankisch and Mouvedre, maybe. Iron, blood, cherry and pepper. Maybe it is the Grenache showing through. Medium to light body with red fruit that flows like a light white wine. Long with a gentle warmth and good sweetness. A bit of spritz.

Dusty, floral, lime and apple nose. Medium body with nice flow and quite nice length. Yellow flowers and green/yellow apple on the palate with nice balance. A bit of RS but nicely set within the wine. Nice deal and very easy to drink. I'd give this wine a higher score if it were more complex.

This wine has a great deal more breed than its price reflects. The nose reminds me of premier cru Burgundy: flinty, mineral, grilled peach, oakdust and keylime. Medium body with great flow and vibrancy centered around a lovely core of citrus (orange?). While this lacks the intensity and depth of higher end Burgundy, it is irresistable and hard to stop drinking. This is what wine should taste like.

V. deep color. Ripe, spicy, black cherry, currant, mace, star anise and grilled meat. Sweet on entry with subtle vanilla turning to vibrant red cherry and spice at mid. Medium length but the flavors and spice sustain for a long time on the front and mid. This could use more length but is a fun, deeply flavored wine that falls somewhere between the Rhone and Tuscany in style.

Grilled pineapple, banana and spice. Cream, pear, luscious caramel and floral honey on the palate are cut by fresh acidity that drives the finish long. The acidity is a bit separate now but ultimately lends freshness to the rich, sugary fruit in the wine. This will need a long time in bottle to develop secondary nut and spice notes. Still very young now.

Fragrant, spicy, yellow flowers, plum skin, smoke and oxidative, macadamia nut and resin notes. The nose has a lot of depth. On the palate, this wine is very bright, creating drive and length with sweet, resonating yellow plum and citrus notes leading to a long, saline finish. My first time to use this descriptor: pomelo, including a bit of pith. This is a wine that would be easy to dismiss at first glance but has wonderful depth, nuance and individuality that make it fun.

Guessed blind. This has that Evening Land smoke and iodine on the nose with amazingly vibrant acidity and a lighter feel than previous vintages. Lime, gunpowder, apple and charred pineapple (maybe?). There is a lot hidden on the nose, ready to open with time in bottle. The palate is lacy and delicate, like a non-dosage Champagne but powers through to a really, long citrus finish. There is a lot of pop here and I can really feel this wine's potential. The length and finish are really what define this wine's quality. Nicely done. This should be fun in 8-10 years.

Fresh, youthful, floral aromas filled with baking spice, fermented apricot, crushed stone, and hay. Bright and lively on entry with a sort of under-ripe citrus note that adds levity to the deep, golden caramel notes of the mid. Great density of flavor and wonderful length that shows ridiculous generosity of fruit on the finish: pit fruit and pineapple. Really hard to stop drinking. Yummy juice.

The peanut oil comment is right on. What ever you do, don't think of peanut oil when you taste this...it will ruin the wine. Don't think of it. I had lots of notes before reading that and, now, I can't think of any...just peanut oil. Truly, though, this is fun to drink, although a little hard to figure out. It has some burnt notes, perhaps overly browned butter with a bitter edge that lasts on the back of the palate. VERY dry and saline at mid with some burnt veggie at mid. Even so, interesting.

Deeply aromatic with androgenous black and blue fruits, licorice, minerals and a VERY subtle Brett note that adds old-world leather and menthol notes that make the nose that much more complex and appealing. Medium body with lots of red fruit and crushed old cellar brick. While there is some sweetness of cherry and licorice on the palate, it is not at all candied and stays lively and enjoyable with big tannins that dry the mid but leave a melting impression of earth at the same time. How do they do that?
