Fresh, clean, fruit - definitely Sauv. Blanc. Green notes predominate at first, then supported by mineral bite. Not too acidic. All in balance. Good everyday white, paired well with food, not too simple. Spring rain.

Exceeded expectations. Deep purple color. Sweetish red fruit nose with peppery notes. Jammy Grenache fruit plays off tar and spice like a pinball. Slightly funky in a good way. Rich and velvety. Yum. Outstanding QPR at $20. Would still be good value at $30.

The wine looks dark blue/red but not inky. There was light sediment in the bottle. Bouquet of blackberry, red currant, clove and salty smoke. It tastes like black pepper, blackberry and black currant (cassis), with sharp spiciness that adds tightness and complexity. Alcohols are too pronounced, but this wine blew away the other California Syrahs we had that night, which were flabby, one-dimensional and too fruity by comparison. This wine was intense and interesting, even if not perfectly balanced. The body is medium/full. The finish is medium in length and with moderate acidity. Paired well with rack of lamb.

Amazing mature Meursault. Slight oxidation just starting, which brought out the carmel and sappy notes over the wine's earthy minerals, toast, and lemon. Flavors hard to describe. Intense, complex and long. What a treat.

This was a pleasant surprise. Honeydew melon dominates, with rich mouthfeel, honey color, savory and decadent. Definitely more Roussanne than Grenache in character, with the Grenache lending acidic foundation. Concise finish. Great QPR @ $16.

For the price ($9), great QPR. Sweet, fresh, touch of spice over tropical fruit, quaffable. Not at all cut nor dry.

Last bottle. Even better than a few years ago. Will still age well for some time, but drinking beautifully now. Currants and cassis, tobacco on the nose, dust on the the finish. Complex and balanced. Surprisingly rewarding wine and a steal for the price.

Deep garnet color. Red cherries on the nose. Medium body. Lively. Flavors evolve somewhat on the palette from bing cherry, then a little smoke or cedar, through to soft, velvet finish with a pleasant tartness on the finish. Well balanced. Very drinkable now. No huge benefit likely with extended cellar time. Fresh and ready to go now.

Deep red color. Cassis, Blueberries, a little smoke on the medium to long finish. Tannins well integrated into the deep fruit. Nicely balanced, easy drinking wine now. Will age (keep) more in cellar but may not get much better; lacks cut or complexity. Good, quite enjoyable in fact, but not great.

Found buried in cellar. Past its due date but not yet spoiled. Good seal on cork. Popped and poured with little aeration. Color is lovely medium red just starting to brick. Bouquet of saddle leather and cedar with slight funk. Tannic and woody with moderated acid. Fruit (currants maybe) fading.

Medium body and color, light nose on opening which became much fuller with time. Red fruit flavors predominate, with acid backbone and some astingency on finish. Nicely balanced and very food friendly, indeed cherry and rasperberry fruit was quite delicious, but lacking complexity. With air and time did not develop. Ready to drink now.

Still drinking well enough, but not as good as before. Sulphur on the nose. Lively red fruit, well supported by the acid. Rasperberries, strawberries and savory rhubarb. Next day some sour cherry had developed, slightly marring the finish. Elegant wine. Time to drink up.

Decanted for 2 hours: do that! Tasted on opening (at cool cellar temp) the wine was totally disjointed and tarry. But after the air settled things down, the tannins resolved into the fruit (still full and forward: blackberries and bramble), the bouquet intensified, and the back end pepper and tobacco notes lengthened. I did not like this wine 5 years ago and decided to wait. Glad I did. Just now coming together. A few more years should do the trick for sure. Next bottles will wait till then.

Chile? Kosher? $10? This should be awful. Yet, surprisingly: not. The bouquet (such as it is) is one note, but the flavors are fine and the wine is definitely quaffable. Better than many other Kosher wines (or Chilean wines, for that matter) at twice the price. Unobjectionable is not a bad thing in a $10 wine. Recomended for what it is -- great QPR.
