Very very typical Alban nose, with this in-your-face level of fruit and sweetness, that I love so much. Super rich, super long, super Alban!

An insane wine with a texture that is absolutely to-die-for. Slightly salty, cherries, sour cherries. Really nice sweet-sour-salt play here. Just amazing!

Cedar, lots of fruit, red bell peppers, very open and just drinking perfectly well right now. Really amazing wine. We compared it to the extended barrel aged 17th Nail and this was more open and the 17th Nail had a crazier texture, hard to pick a favorite

Tomato puree, red bell peppers, very warm nose, iodine and rust notes. On the decline and especially when compared to the E raised next to it it seemed at least a decade older. Drink up

Central Coast Syrah Blend, Syrah more

Some minerals and blood, developed a beautiful elegance with age. Herbs, curry leaves, really opens up with air. Still no sign of age! However this was the lightest and least concentrated of all E-raised I had. Hence the lower rating, but still a beauty

Very thick and dense, not overly powerful though. Just nice. Extraordinay length, already showing very mature notes of forest floor, tobacco and humidor. Really like this wine and I think it still has a bright future ahead.

Dense and rich, prune and porcini notes, great sweetness left with a nice acidity, kind of reminded me of the 1934 Mission. Really surprising and a truly great wine. I just love 1950 Bordeaux.
