Much better than the last time. The tannic character was gone, and the fruit is definitely emerging. The finish is very nice, sweet cherry, but not cloying. I wish I had another bottle to see how it will do in another few years. (101 views) | ||||

The spice / earthiness was just too overpowering covering up the fruit. I found the first hit on the palate overly aggressive. There was also a funkiness mid palate that made me think that the bottle may be corked and perhaps it was. The "corkiness" went away after about an hour of the bottle being opened. I generally like this producer and I have no notes on my past bottles which tells me I liked it then. So, this bottle is a mystery. (549 views) | ||||

When the cork first came out, I smelled beautiful earth notes. There were berries and chocolate on the palate. The cabernet really gave this some refinement and the Petite Sirah added big shoulders. Not such a long finish or I would have scored higher. (209 views) | ||||

Read over my previous note on from August 08, pretty consistent, excerpt the dirty socks on the nose had gone away. The black pepper / licorice on the palate and finish was still there, but this bottle was very hot (alchohol). Due to the heat, I downgraded this bottle significantly (187 views) | ||||
