Very full bodied and poweful on the palate, almost reminding of an Amarone. Bitter cherries, dark berries, pleasant mellow tannins, balanced acidity. This wine carries its years with grace. There may have been some loss in the floral and fruity qualities, but all in all this is an excellent mature wine. |

In the glass we noted the very slightest boquet of chocolate, prunes and black currants. The colour was garnet with a brownish tinge. On the palate, however, we found the wine to be incredibly pleasant and full bodied, with perfectly matured tannins and an excellent balance. There was a long taste of dark red berries and chocolate, and hints of leather and tobacco in the aftertaste. |
