Decanted for an hour or so. Drinking nicely. It surprised me. Thought it wasn't gonna be any good but it has all the qualities I like from a young wine. Full bodied, nice after taste. Not in your face fruity which I prefer. Very nice oak. Should have bought more :(

This stuff was great. Instantly got me in a gitty mood. Decanted for about an hour and a half and drank it over an hour or so. Full body and silky. In the past year I´ve had 2001, 98, and this vintage. The 2001 is the best so far, but this 2003 was not far behind. The 98 didn´t impress me. If you think this could be a fruit bomb, you'd be wrong. Don't like those. Payed US$320 for it. Still smilling. Memorable.

Nothing special here. Different, yes, but not special. I thought I was going to open a monster wine and in return was disappointed. Definitely not worth the price and similar syrah priced wines from this and lesser vintages blow this away.

Decanted for an hour than drank slowly for 2 more hours. Youthful in appearance though it had a little sediment. Overall a good wine. Smell, taste, aftertaste all good, but not great. I've had the 2003 Valdicava not so long ago which I thought was much better. It was great actually. I think because it felt much older than this one.

I dont know if my bottle had seepage. The cork was drenched. Decanted 30min. Nice after taste. Smell was weak and taste was weak. Not very impressive. Died quickly too.

Medium decanter for 3 and half hours. Fisrt PLes Pavots. This wine was very hard to rate. Its a meritage but it seemed like a pinot to me. Way too sweet. I'm not sure if its beacuase its new world, new style, etc. I was expecting something diffrent from a blend like this. Disapointing, not to mention the price.

Two and a half hours in a medium decanter. At first, medium bodied, but not so much taste nor smell. Gained weight after an hour of drinking. It became full bodied which is always pleasent.

One hour in a medium sized decanter. Drank over 3 hours. Nose was strong, pungent tar, leather, licorice. Medium bodied with long after taste. It never went cold just kept going. This wine is probably the best example of great Barolo I have ever tasted. Higly recomended. Never knew how great the Giacomo Conterno brand was.

Perfect drinking now. Decanted for 2 hours. Tannins and a little alcohol were present, more of a Bordeaux style than a super Tuscan. Still has fruit and long after taste. Medium bodied. It’s definitely a zipping wine. Don’t need food to enhance this one. Simply superb.

Dark and silky. Smooth from beginning to end. Poured in a decanter and had it straight away. About an hour later it was gone. Did not improve with time. It was more Italian style then other super Tuscans. In its prime drinking window, with fruit and soft tannins. Medium bodied and medium finish. I expected more flavor. Great wine though.

First Pichon Baron ever. Decanted for 3 hours and had over an hour. Spice box! Bouquet was very nice followed with a mix of spices predominately pepper flavor. Medium body. Tannic with a long finish. It’s still on the young side but I believe its in prime drinking. Wish I had another bottle.
