Good-not-great. Pronounced lactic/acidic note that I find off-putting. I don't perceive any benefit to further ageing, so Drink Now.

NOSE: strong petrol; very ripe Gala apple

BODY: golden yellow color; full bodied; no spritz

TASTE: quite sweet – sweeter than Spatlese; some botrytis, it seems; mineral on the finish; green grapes; medium acidity; quite delicious; I'm pleasantly surprised by the tension and nervous energy this wine seems to have --- when I had this wine four or five years ago it was nowhere near this good; drinks well now, but I do think there's room for further improvement. Drink Now or continue to Hold.

NOSE: quite expressive; lots of mineral; smells like it will be quite acidic; interesting and pleasant note of woodsy salami; blind, I might struggle to identify this as a white wine; light lemonade note after extended air exposure.

BODY: hazy; sediment present; pale yellow color; light to medium-light bodied.

TASTE: interesting spiciness --- seems to be some kind of fragrant wood – cedar? – not sure where this comes from, as I'm fairly certain this wine never saw oak; lots of mineral flavor; medium-high acidity contributes to this wine's zesty presentation; hint of sun tea; paired very nicely with pork & shitake mushroom spinach salad; although I wish this was a little richer, I like it a lot, and I wonder if this will gain weight with age. Will happily follow this wine with interest over the next few years, and might even give one a chance to go 5+ years.

NOSE: very ripe; very oaky; inky; ripe purple fruits

BODY: violet-garnet color of medium-deep depth; little bit of fine particulate matter present; medium to medium-full bodied.

TASTE: ripe; soft; very oaky; blackberry; 14.2% alc. not noticeable; doesn't taste aged, but it has softened noticeably since release; low acid; too oaky and soft for my preferences; although this is still holding together just fine, I probably shouldn't have aged it the few years that I did; Drink Now.

NOSE: smells ripe and red-fruited; light savor/school paste note; "red fruited" becomes more distinctly cherry after a couple hours.

BODY: rustic ruby color of medium-light to medium depth; medium-light bodied; some light bricking throughout.

TASTE: strawberry Twizzlers licorice; medium-fine tannins are very drying; "light"; not big/gloppy; strawberry seeds; adequate acidity; overall, a fairly austere wine that strikes me as "decent"; probably best to drink now, unless this is going to put on some weight in the cellar; 14% alc. a little noticeable on the palate.

BODY: garnet color of medium depth; clear; medium bodied.

TASTE: very ripe red fruits; wet stones/mineral; hints of pine and ash; gentle woodsy spice; medium-light oak; clean; 13.8% alc. pokes through a bit --- I would have guessed a number in the mid-14s; both pretty big and seemingly low in acidity for an Arcadian; very long finish; I wish there was more acidity. Gut impression score: 90.

BODY: medium-grained particulate matter present; dark garnet color of medium-great to great depth; slight bricking at the edges; medium-full to full bodied.

TASTE: very oaky; very tannic; 16.4% alc. can be tasted on the palate and felt in the belly; big/ripe; seems to have adequate acidity; oaky boysenberry jam; was much better in its youth; despite not tasting "aged," this wine is on the wrong side of peak. Drink now.

-- popped and poured --
-- tasted non-blind over 2 days --
-- this was one of the bottles that was 83 F upon delivery --

NOSE: Day 1: high-toned; a bit sweet; red berries; reminds me of sweet red berry tea. Day 2: still sweet-smelling and also with the red berry aromas; hint of sweet earthiness – maybe yesterday's "tea".

BODY: light to medium-light bodied; dark ruby color of medium-shallow depth; a bit hazy; fake cork.

TASTE: Day 1: French oak; some pleasant stemmy spice; gentle green herbs aspect; medium-fine tannins are lightly to moderately drying; very high acidity; strawberry; light and fruity; very different than what I've come to expect from Mourvedre bottlings; 12.7% alc. not noticeable; if this was served to me blind, I'd probably guess Grenache or Gamay. Day 2: pretty much the same as Day 1, except seemingly less acidic today; medium-light bitter/green/stalky/tannic note on the finish, which is of medium-long length and medium-light intensity. Overall, this is fine – it's good/tasty and food friendly – but I don't think I'm digging the QPR. If this didn't present with its edge of sweetness then I'd probably like it more. Will be interesting to see if one of the bottles that was cooler temp. upon delivery shows differently or the same.

BODY: yellow-orange color; still has a bead, which produces a thin-but-persistent whitish head; medium-light bodied.

TASTE: airy/frothy mouthfeel; earthy/grassy/hay; strong green banana flavor on the mid palate and also on the finish; I'm enjoying this now, but I believe I preferred it when it was younger.

This was a backup bottle. Not vegetal on the Nose like the other bottle was; slightly high-toned aromatics. Medium bodied on the palate. Oaky with non-descript primary fruit on the palate. Good, but I liked it less than did many others in attendance.

NOSE: tight; cherry; with time in the glass, a slight TCA/TBA/musty note came and went --- there was considerable debate about whether this wine was corked.

TASTE: cigar; minerally; muted fruits. Again, this didn't seem quite right, but it wasn't obviously wrong, either. I suppose there's a chance this didn't see enough air, but I'm not convinced that was the culprit here. Potentially/probably flawed bottle.
