Medium red. Great nose. Spicy, slightly earthy, red cherry, vanilla and a bit smoky. Delicious red fruit and mint flavours. Slightly soft finish but there is some tannins in the background. Not much acid which softens the finish.

I would drink this in the next couple of years. May not be the long ager the 95 is.

Light medium red. Smokey, cherry, pepper, earth and tar. Delicious secondary flavours and a long dry finish.

This is a crazy QPR. Now developing real secondary characteristics. Almost no information at all on the WWW. Who are these people?

Medium red. Quite tight nose, a bit of spice and violets. Hints at tar. I guessed Barolo right away, but I missed the vintage by 10 years.

It took a bit of swirling and sniffing to realise the elegant charm of this traditional Barolo. Served after a ripe but developed Quito de Crasto Tinto Roriz.

Best bottle yet. This one was bought from the winery. There is a freshness that BCLDB bottles haven't had. Quite intense purple fruit with a scorched earthiness. Delicious flavours and very acidic finish.

I had not noted the acid quite so much in previous bottles. Almost to the IPOB level.

Beautiful bright light red. Gorgeous nose, very floral on the first day, on the second it becomes more earthy and Burgundian as opposed to Grand Cru Beaujolais like.

First night the finish was very tight and dry. After sitting in a half full bottle overnight it softened up considerably.

Outstanding QPR.
