Tannins have smoothed out and the secondary characteristics have set in. This is in a great place right now and should drink well for at least another 5 years, if not more. Absolutely perfectly balanced with the fruit, acidity and the subtle but powerful tannic backbone bringing it all together . This was a beautiful wine that is drinking great now and will continue to do so for many years to come. |

This took a while to open up and didn't really start strutting it's stuff for a couple of hours. Nose has a bit of barnyard, leather, pencil lead, dark fruit, and crushed stone. Good dark fruit and minerality on the palate. Still has good acidity and a firm tannic backbone. I would never guess this to be 19 years old. This will easily go another 5-7 years. |

I'm really liking this wine right now and wishing I had more than just the one left. Because as good as this is now it may get better over the next couple of years. But it is pretty tasty now. |

Flavors are similar to the nose. 15+ second finish. Drinking very nicely now but I think will improve as more secondary aromas and flavors emerge.My first Insignia and was very pleased. |
