Interesting to watch this one evolve. This bottle is drinking like a nicely aged red blend. Raspberry/blackberry, a hint of earth/herbs, integrated medium tannins and medium+ acidity. Certainly no flaws. Drink now.

Drinking well now. The nose/flavors match my note from 2013 perfectly and now all of the structural elements are integrated. No rush though, this should easily last through its 10th birthday.

Delicious notes of honey and stone fruit on both the nose and palate. Drinking quite well now with light acidity adding structure. Sweet yet not at all cloying, perhaps not the most complex wine but the flavors are so pure it's mouthwatering. I've never tasted chardonnay this sweet/pure. I don't see this improving with age but it should continue to drink well for a number of years.

Notes of raspberry, blackberry, blueberry and cocoa on the nose. The palate matches though the fruit is tamer and some nice herbal notes are added. Medium tannins and acid. Drinking well now with a bit of air but certainly no rush either.

Aromas and flavors of red fruit (mostly raspberry), cocoa and bramble. The palate adds some earth/herbs. Medium acid/tannins/finish. This is drinking quite well now and somehow seems to have gained structure since my note from three years ago. Not sure it will improve substantially with age but should continue to drink well for several more

Aromas and flavors of earth and herbs with a mix of red fruit underneath. Focuses on the non-fruit elements. Medium acidity/tannins add structure; short finish. Drinking well now, I feel this may have been a bit better younger if the fruit showed more but it should keep where it is now for a while given the structure.

Dry, quite bready. Some yeast with a nice stone fruit note. The nose and palate match. Light acidity but overall could use a bit more complexity/structure. Pleasant and I appreciate a FLX sparkling wine but perhaps a bit pricey.

Straightforward dry riesling with aromas of under-ripe peaches and nectarines. The palate is dry with white peaches, hard nectarines and orange zest. Light minerals and acidity. True to the style just lacking complexity. Drink now through 2017.

Shiner hand-written "2005 MRV Lake Erie Chardonnay". Still showing fresh apple/pear notes, especially on the palate. A hint of quince. Medium minerals and light acidity add structure. Short finish but tasty overall, this has aged well. Drink now.

All of the fruit has left but this has a nice mineral backbone and a hint of acid-great structure. No perceptible oak making me wonder how vibrant this was in its youth.

The aromas span the spectrum of black fruit: blackberry, black currant, boysenberry along with pepper. The palate matches- black fruits bordering on jammy, pepper and a bit of smoke. Light tannins otherwise no structure to speak of to augment the fruit. Drink now.

Aromas of black fruits (black currant/blackberry/black cherry), red licorice and a bit of herbs. The aromas match, and add a bit of red fruit and a fair amount of earth towards the finish. Classic Napa structure with medium acid, medium+ tannins and a medium finish. The structural elements are still integrating. Drinking well now with air, it may age a bit more and will likely least a minimum of 5 more years.

Notes again from day 3, it tastes like the structural elements have just integrated. Just for fun I tried this in three different glasses and the nose varied a bit each time. All showed blackberry, herbs and some smoke/grilled meat, but the most prominent note shifted with each glass. The palate shows blackberry, elderberry, grilled meat, pepper, earth and a bit of oak. Medium acid/tannins/finish. Open one now as it's drinking great but should last another 5+ years.

Already drinking nicely with aromas of honey, apricot, grilled peaches, pear and a bit of caramel. The palate matches with an emphasis on the honey, apricot and pear. Slightly oxidized, a bit viscous but not too sweet. I don't see this improving with additional age but certainly no rush to drink.

Aromas of -wait for it- bacon, blackberry, pepper, olives and earth. The palate matches. Dark and savory meaty (bacon/jerky) notes up front adding the pepper/olive on the midpalate and fruity yet earthy towards the end. Integrated medium acidity, medium+ tannins and a fairly long finish. Well-made, delicious wine. Drinking well now on days 1 & 3, it was a bit shut down on day 2 and should easily last through 2020.

Not sure of the various 08's listed here if this is exactly what I tasted but it was estate stainless steel. The nose is lovely with a barnyard/earthy note initially followed by raspberry. The flavors are mostly red fruit with a light mid-palate and some earth on the finish. Integrated acid/tannins add structure. The cab franc grape shows what it can do in Ohio with this wine, and it's drinking quite well at 8 years old.

Honestly one of the best pinot gris I've had including CA, Italy and Alsace. Bold aromas of green apple, spice, hints of citrus zest, grape and pear. The palate matches but everything is even more prominent. A nice balance of the apple/pear/citrus/spice with just a bit of grape towards the finish. Very bold flavors with nice acidity and light mineral notes. I can't wait to see where this goes as the vines age.

Took a day to open up. Very much a cool-climate pinot with bright red cherry and strawberry aromas with a hint of cocoa and earth. The palate matches with fresh but not jammy cherry/strawberry/raspberry, hints of herbs & earth on the finish. Light tannins add structure and medium acidity keeps it fresh. Good QPR too.
