Cherry, currant, berry, spice. Best with Indian food (take-out or eat-in BYOB). Not that exciting on its own, but a perfect weekday wine with Indian food. I thought the 2012 vintage was a bit better. Good QPR for $10 / bottle with free shipping.

Cherry, flowers, soy, spice. Perhaps would benefit from a little more time. A pretty good pairing with the chicken sausage with feta. Not as good with the roasted herbal chicken leftovers. Good QPR for $20 on close-out.

I really liked this wine. Notes of cherry, currants, mushrooms forest floor and herbs. We had this with chicken sausage with feta and onion, which was a good pairing. Can drink now but perhaps even better with a year of bottle age. Good QPR for $20 / bottle.

At Salte Creek Grille in Princeton, NJ. The wine was good when once we got it to a drinkable state. There were notes of blackberry, blueberry Nd sweet fine tannins. It was just an ok pairing with the ribs, as the sauce was too sweet. Not as good as the 2010 vintage. (And was described as the 2011 vintage on the wine list)

The wine itself came out at 70 plus degrees. Apparently they store the red wines at room temp, in a room next to the kitchen, and don't believe in storing or serving wine at appropriate temperatures. (And this restaurant has a Wine Spectator Award, too). After we got an ice bucket to cool down the wine and an extra glass (to pour the warm glass on top off, and then back into the bottle), the wine was better.

Ok value for $61 at a restaurant.

Drink now or hold 1-2 years. Probably better with a year or two of bottle age.

A tasty Margaux. Initially a little thin out of the bottle, but it put on weight with 30 minutes open (pop & pour, no decant). Lovely dark fruit, blackcurrants, cassis, leather and some lovely Margaux perfume. Best with our roast herbal Heritage chicken, which was a great pairing. Shared with Michele C. Jennifer K, Jen R and me in Princeton. Drink now or for the next few years.
