2/28/2024 - RieslingFanatic Does not like this wine: NRNot for me. Initially sweet, sour and bitter on the palate, although the bitterness faded with time (probably related to the evident sulphur on opening). Hard to come at. Dark fruits, soft, and acid, hard. Oh well. |

10/14/2023 - RieslingFanatic Does not like this wine: NRVery disappointing, especially given the accolades. Blocky black, hot palate and not at all enjoyable. Pass. |

10/14/2023 - RieslingFanatic Does not like this wine: NRA disappointing bottle, compared to previous. Quite skinny and lean, the greener/WB elements overpowering whatever fruit was there. Not favoured by any of the tasting group. |

4/7/2023 - RieslingFanatic wrote: 87 pointsGood fruit intensity through the palate, but fails to prosecute the finish - tinny and too acidic for much pleasure. OK. Thought it better when tasted at the cellar door. |

4/7/2023 - RieslingFanatic wrote: 85 pointsSeems prematurely advanced. Soft, round palate showing caramalised apple and tropical fruit. Lacks intensity and drive on the finish. Based on other reviews, sounds like I got a dud bottle. |

3/8/2023 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 91 pointsBought from the cellar door in 2016 or so. Right in the zone now, don't wait. Plums, dark cherries - the fruit a touch stewed now - hints of chicory and earth. Soft through the palate and finish, tannin and acid integrated. For my taste, lacking a little life and bounce. |

3/8/2023 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 92 pointsFinal bottle. Nice but no fireworks. Seems to be in a bit of a dip/slump, given previous bottles. |

3/8/2023 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 93 pointsLovely wine. Yellow stonefruit, grapefruit, hint of nut. Balanced acidity. In the zone for me and unlikely to improve. Drink up. |

1/29/2023 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 90 pointsCO with both elegance and heft, if that makes sense. Dark berry fruits, plums and cherries too, with a background cooking spice/char note (not smoke). Oak is not overdone (hurrah) and the wine feels balanced and lovely. |

1/29/2023 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 89 pointsLovely wine, if you like the style. Decaying rose petals, leather, strawberries and assorted other red berries. Acid prominent on the finish, tannins integrated. Easy drinking, but with a sneaky complexity. |

1/29/2023 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 89 pointsIn a good place now. Fair bit of pineapple as well as Meyer Lemon and lime cordial, balanced by cleansing acidity. |

12/9/2022 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 93 pointsDrinking very, very well now. Lovely balance of red and blue fruits, spice, tannin and acid. Probably at its peak I feel, but in no danger of fading any time soon. |

9/9/2022 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 91 pointsI thought this wine may have been past its best. Boy was I wrong! Right in the zone (so drink up if you have any). The primary red fruits are now tempered by tertiary development, tannin and acid are both integrated and there is more depth and complexity. Fantastic QPR. |

5/13/2022 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 93 pointsLovely wine. Think GW from TWF may have been a little tight with his points for this wine. Lemon and lime, tart green apple, distinct mineral characters. Excellent intensity and drive, palate is certainly fuller/thicker than some but not heavy. Excellent - dissapeared quickly. |

5/13/2022 - RieslingFanatic Likes this wine: 87 pointsGood QPR example of this type of lunchtime Claret. Oak is not too prominent, small black and blue berries, earthy undertone. Good support for a meal, without being the centrepiece. |
