Cracked this open to enjoy while watching the Superbowl with a meal of Salmon, yellow potatoes, and cauliflower. Started out a bit thin with a clipped finish, but the more air it got, the more it filled in. A pretty, tasty Pinot, not at all showing its age yet. Recommend a long decant for best enjoyment.

Again, my wife practically went through the whole bottle herself, but I did manage a couple of quick tastes and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very dry, mineral-driven, plenty of flavor. Good stuff!

A departure from the grassy, bright Sauv Blancs that we see quite a bit of these days. This was rounder, not at all grassy, and with some oak. Still very flavorful and retaining some Sauv Blanc character. I enjoyed this quite a bit actually, even though I am decidedly not a fan of overt oak, but in this wine it worked.

70% Merlot, 15% Cab Franc, 15% Cab Sauv. Cork 1/4 soaked through but in very good shape.
I was pretty worried on the pop 'n pour as this was showing tons of overt oak on the nose and palate. So, I let it slow ox for about 4 hours and then Vacuvin'd overnight. When I tried it the next evening, it was, thankfully, nicely integrated. First off, this is not my favorite style - it's really a "Parkerized" wine with big, ripe fruit and heavy oak. That said, this is in a good place right now, with apparently enough fruit to handle the oak, though it now manifests itself as kind of a caramel flavor.

Pop 'n pour, consumed over 2 evenings. Nothing really stood out on the nose for me - kind of nondescript. On the palate, some nice savory fruit, medium-bodied (I wouldn't call it thin at all like a previous note suggests), with a prominent acidic tartness that throws the balance way out of whack. On the second evening, the palate filled out a bit more with some pleasant flavors, gaining some weight, and the acidity tamed down just a bit, but was still sticking out. Overall, an interesting red that was difficult to fully enjoy due to imbalanced acidity.

Tasted over 2 days - pretty consistent throughout. Ready to go from the pop 'n pour, this showed plenty of ripe fruit on the nose, a hint of oak, and showing a little heat. On the palate, quite ripe and fleshy with lots of fine sediment (making it somewhat cloudy, too) giving it lots of texture. I know many don't like this, I don't mind it, but this could be stood up and allowed to settle for a week or two for those that don't. This is really quite a pleasing drink but is marred by alcohol that increases through the finish. Even though it is very ripe - perhaps overripe - it still has some old world flavors that hints at its origins and would be hard to mistake for a new world wine.

More of the same except this bottle had a glob of slimy sludge at the bottom. The wine tastes of so many things other than fermented grapes -- I almost don't want to know what's actually in this for fear of making me puke. This wine is the first to get my lowest possible score.

There is an honesty to this wine that I love. It's pure tasting and unencumbered by overbearing wine making, i.e. it's not heavily oaked and the wine doesn't taste like the grapes were ripened beyond varietal recognition. Yes, it finishes a little short and is perhaps missing a little depth of flavor. But this is not a tete de cuvee. This is a really nice bottle of Oregon Pinot, with or without food and a steal at $19/bottle.

Tasted over 2 evenings. Lots of dark fruit, lots of toasted oak. Good weight. A little too much oak for me but it was enjoyable to an extent. Perhaps some time sideways will help it integrate.

My second bottle of this and I still think this is behind the 2010 quite a bit and a little lighter-bodied as well. Really intriguing flavors, good balance. Excellent with hearty meat and potatoes type dishes I would think.

Bold, flavorful white. Packs a punch. Reminded me of a grassy, citrus-infused Sauvignon Blanc combined with a honeysuckle-tinged Albarino. Really, really good. Would be great with shellfish but also a wine to ponder while drinking by itself.

Ripe and fleshy with a full mid-palate with some intriguing and pleasing flavors. Like almost all Tercero reds, enough acidity to keep it fresh. This is one of the ripest and softest Tercero reds that I've tasted in a while. Drank this next to a 2012 Carlisle Limerick Lane and I preferred this. Didn't really need any air at all as it was ready from the moment the cap was unscrewed.

Similar to my last bottle - ripe and forward, slightly jammy, thick and rich. On the simple side of the Carlisle SVD Zin spectrum, still a good candidate for an early drinker as this is ready now and probably not a good candidate for aging very long.

New producer for me. Very attractive aromas and flavors, earthy with a generous fruit profile. This bottle was gone within a couple of hours - I would've liked to see if the palate filled out a bit with extended air.

Really strange experience with this bottle. Upon opening, this was flat with dull flavors- nothing like the previous two bottles recently tried, likely corked. I pondered trying to return it and left it on the counter overnight. Not sure what happened, but the next evening this had transformed into a really enjoyable bottle! Some nice mature fruit emerged and I ended up drinking the whole bottle with my wife.

So much to like about this bottle. Gorgeous fruit flavors, depth on the mid-palate, rich and full but not heavy, just the right amount of acidity to give it balance. Probably my favorite Tercero Grenache to date (and I've had many).

Pop 'n pour and tasted over 2 days - vacuvin'd and stored overnight in the fridge. Nice aromatics with savory notes and also a bright, red-fruit component. On the palate, very focused with layers of savory and bright berry flavors plus a little hint of spice. Good weight, balance, and length on the finish. Went so well with my wife's roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Was equally as good on its own. Just a tremendously pleasing wine drinking experience. Still slightly primary at this stage. This was ready to go from the unscrew and pour, though may have been a hair more pleasing on the second day.

Cork soaked to 3/4s but came out no problem with an Ah-so. As with the two prior bottles, this needed about 3 hours of slow-ox'ing to tame the oak tannins and smooth out the rough edges. Also, this was very murky - it doesn't bother me much, but this should probably stood up for a day or three and then decanted for sediment. Strong aromatics and bold, dark fruit and aged oak flavors are the hallmark of this wine. Not a great wine, but enjoyable.

Good aromatics, loaded with flavor, bright acidity -- what's not to like? Initially, got apple on the nose and palate. Then, distinct honeysuckle. I don't think this benefited as much as Larry's other whites do when they warm up close to room temperature -- this seemed more like a refreshing sipper than Larry's other, more cerebral whites like the Roussanne or Grenachce Blanc. Just enjoyable from the get-go right out of the fridge.
