Dark and opaque core with garnet hue. Classic McLaren Vale Shiraz nose, powerful and full along with ripe plum, blackberry, black cherry, sweet licorice and toasty oak.
Rich and supple mouth-feel, with nuances of black cherry, plum, ripe fruits, blackberry, meat and hints of licorice. It has mellowed down to show good balance and finesse, although it is still pretty straightforward. Ripe and chewy tannins, fully integrated. Finishing getting better after it gradually open up.
One of the better 03 Shiraz without stewed, overripe fruits and heaviness fr a hot vintage. 15.5% alc hardly notice.

Made by one of my favourite talented Aussie winemaker Ben Glaetzer. Last tasted almost 6 years ago and now is the time to drink up as I am not sure if it is still holding well.
Dark brooding red with an opaque core, nice familiar nose of blackberry, blackcurrant, vanilla toasty oak, some roast coffee elements and hints of spice.
Rich and round on entry, it has mellowed down with supple mouth-feel , slowly revealing flavors of blackberry, black cherry and chocolate. Soft chewy tannins and it is the finish appeal to me, long and linger. Quite straightforward but it is drinking very well now exceed my expectation.

This is an entry level Amarone, did not meet my expectation although it is actually no bad at this price point.

Subtle red fruits on palate, light and not a lot of flavours and complexity. Short to medium finish with soft drying tannins. It has the bodied and intensity but lacks the fruits and acidity. Quite boring although nothing I dislike.

Colour is the lightest among the recent Tahbilk Reserve (1997-2000) tasted despite it is the youngest among all. Medium dark ruby with brick and faded hues.
Initially toasty vanilla nose open up to show black cherry, blackberry, smoke, earth, grill meat and black pepper.
On the palate, soft and mellow but does not show as richly flavored as previous vintages, more red fruited than black as the nose suggests, along with plum, some earthy mushroom notes and hints of leather. Soft tannins with medium length finish.
Already showing developed notes with soften structure, 2000 seems to be a weaker vintage that can be drunk now or sooner.

Revisiting the wine after last tasted it 4 years ago.
Dark ruby with brick red rims. Pop and pour and it shows plenty of black pepper on the nose along with blackberry and blueberry intermix with earth, coffee notes, violet and hints of wood.
On palate it exhibits black berry, dark cherry, ripe fruits, meaty notes and hints of mint. It has mellowed down but retain good structure and balance. Although it does not has the old world complexity and charm but nevertheless it is an enjoyable wine. Good lingering spicy finish with ample of fine chewy tannins. Another wine to be savored on its own and not to be compared. Drinking well now with alcohol (at 14%) well control unlike many other Aussie Shiraz. It should hold for another few more years.

Good bodied weight for a Rosso, holding well with loads of dark cherry, rustic notes along with balsamic and woody notes. Nice and big on palate, good structure support by fresh acidity. Spicy finish with chewy tannins. This is very good for a Rosso, almost at entry Brunello level.
