Light amber gold with tart honey nose. Demi sec with some flinty mineral, medium fully integrated fruit and tannins balanced by light acid and some residual sweetness. Very smooth and drinking nicely for a 42 year old wine I made in the early years, mostly used for cooking now as a chicken or pulled pork marinade, but can hold it's own with the best. I now let the pros make wine and I drink it with great appreciation of their endeavors.

Dark garnet with red plum nose. Lightly dry tannins with moderate fruit, acid present and a little sweetness for balance. Fruity without being jammy. More an old fashioned mellow red than an austere food friendly Sangio, drinking well now.

Medium garnet, smoky nose. Dry, tart berry with chewy tannins, medium fruit and body, ripe strawberries with some flinty mineral. Well balanced with prominent though restrained acid. Drinking well. A little more fruit than I like, but not jammy and somewhat restrained though far from austere. The fruit has settled down, showing cola and tobacco tonight, nicely balanced acid and light chewy tannins.

Dark ruby with iodine nose. Fruity with a bit of heat, bold body and fruit, roast beef, some acid for balance and chewy tannins. Just a bit too jammy for me now. Finally either my taste buds have come back or the wine has come around. Much more to my liking tonight. Still more full body and fruit driven than I prefer now, but a very good wine for those liking that style. Good acid to balance the fruit with many more years ahead for development.

Inky dark ruby ripe plum iodine nose. Overly jammy on the PnP, but starting to show some acid for balance after an hour with some light but chewy, stemmy tannins coming to the party. A bit bold and extracted for my palate, but the fruit forward folks will be pleased. Iodine and roast beef give the ripe blackberries some company. More acid and tannins would be welcome for my palate.

light garnet with lily nose. Dry mineral, leeks and bell pepper, light fruit and body, low acid and tannins. On the PnP, not really much to offer at this time. Starting to show some improvement with a little air. significantly better on night two with restrained fruit, light acid and smooth but chewy tannins. Pie cherries, ripe strawberries with mineral, earthy funk, not the bright berry acid that other '10s have shown, reminds me of a Biggio Hamina style PN. on the third day this has come really good, lilacs on the nose, soft and mellow with just enough acid and tannins to give interest and compliment the cherry fruit.

Very light garnet approaching rosé with light strawberry nose. Acid and light tannins bracket the strawberry fruit. very restrained almost like a more robust rosé. drinking very well with the low 10.5% alc. would pair nicely with the fresh caught salmon we had the other night.

Dark ruby with magenta rim, red fruit nose. Dry with dusty tannins, medium fruit with a slight bitter note. Opened two nights ago and paired poorly with fresh caught salmon or lateer with mushroom penne. Put away and not much better when tasted last night. Perplexing as this in one of my favorite wines. Not a bad bottle, just too jammy and boring. OK, tonight and another chance at redemption, more time has resulted in a much more balanced wine. While still full bodied fruit, the acid which was lacking has started to emerge and the tannins have lost the bitter edge, all is good in Rasaland. Getting some leather and earthy flavors but would like a bit more acid. Best to drink up now.

Off dry and way too floral for our tastes, like chewing some sweet sorell. Salvageable by blending to make a wine cooler or for cooking. Lack of acid is the major deficiency.

Medium garnet with raspberry, strawberry nose. Dry light ripe strawberry with a mineral twist. Light body and fruit with moderate acid and subdued tannins. On par with most wines for me, better on night two, restrained fruit with tart berry. well balanced for me on the acid forward side. Light and simple for the summer when you want a little more than rosé, some what like a gamay.

Inky dark purple with ripe cherry nose. Fruity with a dose of funk, needs at least an hour to settle, bold fruit and body which for me does not get the accolades most bestow on this wine. Sorry, but I just get a lightly jammy, funky fruity wine. Not saying others may like this style, but I have moved away toward the AFWE style. It need substantially more acid and tannins for my palate. On night two, substantial improvement with the acid more prominent to better balance the fruit, tannins are on the light side.

Medium ruby woody nose. Dry, tart tannins, medium fruit , ripe tart sour cherries with leather and earth notes. On the austere side which appeals to my palate. The acid and tannins call out for food accompanyment. Drinking well now and should improve over the next several years.

Dark ruby with cherry and cedar nose. Dry tannins, fuller body and fruit, balanced toward the fruity side with nicely integrated tannins. Roast beef coming on strongly. Drinking very well now and should please those liking a bold red, not a fruit bomb, just a flavorful fruit driven wine with some acid and chewy tannins for complexity.

Light garnet, light ripe strawberry nose with a hint of candied ginger. On the PnP, lightly dry, medium fruit, red currants with some light mineral and integrated soft tannins. Soft mouthfeel, well balanced and drinking very well on the AFWE side of things. Just a touch of acid to keep it lively. Seems to be one for drinking now without a lot of extended aging potential.
