From a magnum. Closed and austere, with no evidence of fruit. Perhaps it will be better tomorrow...

Dark and dense, with both fruit and herbs on the palate. A wine that should please both new world and old world fans. Lovely wine.

Lovely wine - nice balance of fruit and spice, not ripe, mouth coating. Perfectly drinkable, and in a really nice space.

Drank this alongside three 2011 Hundred Acre Cabs (Few, Kayli, Ark). Beautiful wine - rich, concentrated, fruity with a tannic punch. It has years to go but is totally drinkable now. I'm two deep into a six-pack and see no reason to not continue enjoying this wine in its youth. BPLANT13 has it totally right in my view.

Decanted for several hours. Big wine with the same coffee on the nose and spice on the palate. It was not quite as rich as my recollection of the other bottles I've tasted - lovely nevertheless. I drank it alongside the three 2011 Hundred Acre Cabernet bottlings (Ark, Few, and Kayli) and a 2011 Tignanello, so perhaps just a calibration issue for my unsophisticated palate.

Decanted for 2 hours. Much lighter and more delicate than a typical Kayli. Lovely regardless.

Popped and poured alongside a 2011 Few and Far Between - both gorgeuus wines - and following a 2011 Kayli Morgan which was light and delicate in comparison, yet quite lovely. Rich, concentrated, bold, juicy - I'm not waiting to drink the rest with good friends.

Just gorgeous! Drank this with no decanting following a 2011 Kayli Morgan (which in comparison was light and delicate) and followed by a 2011 Ark. Big, rich, concentrated, and full of fruit - the bottle was quickly emptied. Totally ready, although I suspect it will have a long life.

Drank this alongside a 2011 Guaspari Vista da Serra - the same vintage but that's where the similarity ends. The St. Joseph was far more delicate with less fruit and oomph. The Coursodon was very good, make no mistake; however, it was overshadowed by the big, rich, spicy Guaspari.

Big, rich, super-ripe wine which - as EX-RAY writes - has a touch of raisin-prune that suggests it's time to start drinking up. A touch too much heat on the finish for my palate, though. Regardless, pretty darned good.

I don't know how to rate this as I have no reference point, but I'd agree with phillyoutwest. This is extraordinary - don't know whether Scotch will ever be the same again. Which is okay.
