Mortons Madness (Hong Kong Mortons): Definitely maturing red brick color. Great nose of Smells like a sleeve of fresh baked sweet biscuits. Fig Newtons? Silky smooth. Big tart fruit, Smokey, Tannins there. Let's see what a few hours and red meat does to this beauty.
3 Hours later at Mortons HK - This just took on weight. Dark. Blackberry jam, sweet oak, "fruited salad", red twister licorice, Grandma's sweet black cherry's with cream. Yum. (228 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Took a while to open up, but when it did there was an appealing, mellow earthy nose with hints of red fruit.
Silky soft burgundy texture, and quite a lot of tannins, considering that it's entering its tenth year. Great villlage burg. (48 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Good, but not as interesting or balanced as before. Tannins settled out and bright sweet fruit remaining, not as much interest or salinity and tannin. A bit awkward now, hold and hope fruit settles slighty. Still very good, not awesome like before. (549 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Good. Tasting more approachable than the LSG. Dark fruit but a lot more sweetness than I anticipated and the nose is much more clean than the LSG. This could blossom into something pretty nifty. Wait 3 years for the next go round. (248 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Lots of red fruit here mixing in with the blacker Gouges profile. Still tannins are distributed throughout the entire volume of wine. Still tight and a bit tough texture-wise and a bit stinky and earthy aromatically even with some time being open. Overall I like it and think it has a good if not overwhelming future. Should wait 5 years or so before taking a run at another one. (184 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Manchester Offline (Choice Bar & Restaurant): A rather subtle nose with very gentle black fruits and some herbal, almost medicinal notes. On the palate, there's a silky, caressing mouthfeel. Very precise. Very classy. (810 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Decanted 1 hour. Medium ruby core, medium pale garnet rim. Moderately intense, almost ethereal, nose with plum and dark cherry fruit but lots of earth and autumnal undergrowth notes and a slight spicy edge. No more than medium bodied on the palate, quite delicate and airy with dark cherry fruit, strong earthy/leafy notes on the mid-palate, fine but still slightly firm tannins and fresh acidity on the medium length, slightly dry finish showing just a note of white pepper. This is nicely complex and true to style but perhaps a little on the lean side, although it did soften and become a little more generous 2-3 hours after decanting. As such worth leaving my other bottle at least 2-3 years. (289 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Milk chocolate dipped rasberries. Red current. Blackberry fruit. This is just one nice mature well made wine. Drinking great now with lots of life left as it is perfectly balanced and will ride nicely for a nother 10 years.
Drank it along side the J Duval Entity for comparison, good fun. (807 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Gary's BDAY Donato -- Showing real well, with definite development but lots of fruit and good earthy minerally notes too. Some funk for sure, but it went well with food and a great deal on sale at VVW. (352 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Nose is still fresh, and coffee, cocoa and green pepper on the palate. There are tannins are broad but not yet finessed. Good, but time yet from this bottle. (916 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

This was fantastic almost immediately, but got even better over the next few hours. Dark as molasses, flavor of raisins and lots of dark fruit; fruit was really noticeable in the nose. Incredibly smooth and complex. A great bottle of wine for under $40. (928 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2005 (Andrew's place): A grand wine. Rich, plush upholstered plum & dark berry fruit aromas. Darkly restrained on the palate, the finely tannic fruit is quite reticent and very primary still. Slumbering deeply, this needs at least another 5 years (preferably 10) to be anything beyond ‘great potential’. (219 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Chevillon Dinner, 1990-2002 (Lupa Restaurant, San Francisco): We began the red portion of the evening with this wine, which was big and bold compared to the Chevillons that followed. This showed more backward and rustic than the last time, with a strong blast of brett quickly dominating things. Drinkable but not very good. (526 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |
