3/3/2024 - MLipton wrote: NRDark red-purple, vivid acidity, juicy, deeply fruited with floral overtones and a slightly tannic finish. One can see why this grape may have been mistaken in an earlier era for gamay noir a jus blanc. It has light-to-medium body and enough acidity (and low enough alcohol) to pair well with food. Tasted blind, it could be mistaken for a good Cru Beaujolais. |

8/4/2023 - SuperSomm Likes this wine: 90 pointsDeep ruby colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with red cherry, black cherry, blueberry, ripe wild raspberry, vanilla, rosemary, black pepper, rose petal and violet. Medium (+) taste of red cherry, black cherry, blueberry, ripe wild raspberry, chocolate, rosemary, black pepper and rose petal. Long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. A very good and floral Sonoma County Zinfandel that goes excellent with grilled meat. Needed an hour to open. Drink now or over the next eight years. Goes well with beef, duck, mushrooms, pork or veal. |

12/25/2023 - sm___ Likes this wine: 93 pointsLight in the glass. Bright fruit, high acid, and steely minerality on the palate. Opened for the holidays, but would love to see where the wine goes in 1-3 years as the acid settles down. My favorite wine from Broc so far. |

11/22/2023 - PaulusLoZebra Likes this wine: 88 pointsMy first Broc Love Red, and this is a wonderfully fresh and refreshing light red, very aromatic, but with enough substance and acid to be very nice with food, with a long, bittersweet finish and only 12.5% ABV. The dominant Carignan is distinctive and may not appeal to everyone. It reminds me much more of a South African Pinotage than of a Provençal red. It's a bit expensive if purchased directly from the winery @$25, but it is available for less elsewhere. |

10/28/2023 - Ernestas Likes this wine: 89 pointsMy first experience with Valdiguie varietal, a light structured natural wine aged in stainless steel and used oak for 6 months. Pale ruby. Medium+ intensity aroma of leather, barnyard, cherries, spices, rhubarb, hint of rose petals. Light body, refreshing, feels quite Gamay’ish (also underwent carbonic maceration) just without expressive red fruit flavours, more like Foillards organic style. Juicy, fleshy and crunchy cranberry and other red fruit notes, vibrant high acidity and finely grained medium tannins. |
