A very well made and opulent Pinot. No func, no earth. Ripe black figs, ripe peach, plums, quince paste, ones of cacao, mushrooms, dried herbs. Long, pronounced, lingering finish. Not a light Pinot - this very full bodied. Great as a standalone wine.

Deep dark and with solid structure this CA pinot has maintained its fruit surprisingly well. Oak and tannins are still a little heavy and it’s starting take on a little bit of a cooked fruit

Dark maraschino cherry, damp soil, cloves, liquorice and a bit of menthol on the nose. Extraction shows with the intensity and tree bark notes. Palate is quite extracted and rich, with signs of evolution, dark cigar tobacco notes, warm spices and crushed berries. decent maturity, complexity, good structure and a long concentrated finish. It’s like a mix Between a Pommard and a napa pinot

More ripe fruit and delicious depth on the nose. Tart and tight on the palate, lots of gumption.

Fully mature with a little more leafy funk to it, but right in the pocket. With loads of structure on the back of the palate.

Lots of oak and spice, and then mellow and full matured. Three acre vineyard overlooking Ridge Montebello. But still with structure and body.

No. 663 of 17908 bottles produced. PNP into Atiap Titanium 200ml wine vessel (“No” day): Medium purplish ruby.

Mossy notes and hints of reduction. Not exceptionally aromatic.

On palate this is medium acidity, with flavors of black prunes, ripe dark red cherries. Quite a lot of tannins and spicy on the finish.

91-92 points.

Buyer beware with this Pinot. Because of the growing climate this is a much darker and heavier Pinot than you may be used to. My rating came up a bit because this bottle started to show some complexity were the others did not. If you are paying over $30 your paying to much.

Grabbed the last 3 bottles that were on sale. Was hoping for a Central Coast Pinot with a lot of depth but this fell flat.

Bigger than many Pinots, but still clearly Pinot. Dark cherry, some raspberry, earth, sensation of the stems that were included in the whole cluster fermentation. Fairly dense. After some air there was a distinct impression of black tea on the finish. Great value at the $20 blowout price, but hard to imagine it's worth anywhere close to list.

The tasting notes of my fellow trackers below are right on the money. Speaking of money, is this $50? $40? $30? $20? Seems to have only become cheaper over time, which I think speaks to its aspirational initial pricing for what is an underwhelming Pinot Noir.

This isn't the color of Pinot Noir. With tiny berries and heavy extraction, you can get this much color in a Pinot, but it's also possible that a small amount of a darker grape was blended in here for color. The nose also isn't really Pinot - quite dark, a bit swampy (reductive), not gloopy but muddy in its flavors - poorly defined and a bit all over the place. On the palate this has quite a lot of tannin for an 8-year-old Pinot. It's darkly - and again, muddily - fruity through the mid-palate and quite sharply green and bitter on the back, pointing to unripe seeds and stems in the whole clusters used. This bitter greenness lingers on day two, even as the nose sees caramel/fudge notes develop. All in all, it's drinkable, but it's a bit of a mess, and not one for Pinot lovers. 14.1%, $???
