Mostly gobs of very, very ripe purple fruit, a little "grapey" at times, plum compote, etc with a dose of baking spice. Doesn't have the cedary or faintly earthy tone I love in the background of good Napa, and it's a little too soft/dull on the midpalate. Good length though and I liked the silky texture, likely the result of light aging. It definitely doesn't need any more time, nor does it need food, although I can see it working great with a basic ribeye or even barbecued meats, it definitely has the fruit to stand up to intense flavors. |

Blueberry and black cherry blend with silky vanilla tannins. There is a slight black pepper bite which cooperates well with mocha on the mid-palate followed by moderate minerality and a hint of mint on the finish. |
