Good. 15% abv. But not hot. In fact, seemed to be a fair amt of residual sugar on initial pour. Otherwise good dark fruit, balanced tannin and acid and pleasant long finish.

Blue fruits, cassis, white flowers, saline, mineral (iron ore), smooth tannins, nice very long finish. not sure of the blend, but seems to be cab dominant. just lovely.

62% Merlot and 38% Cab, 26 months in 80% new American oak.

Three hours in the decanter yielded a fresh dark fruit profile with a touch of minerality, prominent fine/drying tannins.

Strong on the oak for me, my wife was not bothered.

First of 6 and nice for a weekday wine, will let the remaining rest and retry ~ 2017.

Tasting consistent with last bottle. Cherry and currant on the nose. Flavors of tart cherry, currant, licorice and cocoa. If anything, the cocoa flavors had asserted themselves further and the tannins mellowed a bit compared to the last bottle. Good value.

Deep ruby colored blend. Cherry and currant on the nose. Flavors of tart cherry, currant, a bit of plum, licorice and cocoa. Integrated tannins and a long finish. Very nice, especially if your tastes lean toward fruit forward wines.
