While the lable claims this 12% alcohol wine is dry, I certainly find that at room temperature it is more full-bodied, complex, and a bit more towards the semi-dry end of the tasting scale. Think of a buttery and well-oaked chardonnay for comparision, although this Riesling is much more citrusy, of course. It is very pale white gold in color, rich in body, and rather like a vanilla tinged grapefruit in taste. Don't take this straight out of the cooler...let it come closer to room temperature so you can appreciate the complexity. This is better than any German Riesling I've drunk recently. |
