3/17/2024 - WillRepstad Likes this wine: 90 pointsFor me, this wine is a bit ‘hot’ at 14% abv, especially for a riesling. However, underneath the alcohol shines all the beautiful notes one wants. The wine smells of lifted stone fruit and has a light lunch of acid and carmel apple on the pallet. Would probably be a 92 if the alcohol was slightly more balanced. Perhaps time will treat this wine nicely. Overall: 90 |

Light intensity flavors with very nice acidic drive, a little touch of tannins, and enough body to go down smoothly. Some garrigue and underbrush way in the background. I think more time to mature will be a bonus. 4+11+16+8= 89 |

Then it just blossomed into a Pinot like Gamay. Lovely stuff. But the last glass saw decline, with brett and plum taking over. Even so, very enjoyable, maybe the last bottle of 2017. |
