I love Rutherford for its dusty mouthfeel wines and this wine frankly shines as it contrasts that mouthfeel with a fruit forward blackberry and cassis flavor profile at the start. Finish reveals the dusty character and makes this a winner. This is punching way above its weight and for that reason for me it gets a 93 +. |

I seem to recall liking this better in its youth. This giant wine is perhaps a fair value for those who love Cali cab. Although at a nice drinking point, it's not quite as energetic as it was with previous bottles consumed. I liked it better on day one 94/94+points- Day 2: 93-94 points. I'll go with a 94 Point score overall and I'm not sure it will get better. I'd drink this wine sooner rather than later. |

Solid quality for the $70 cost - fair, but not noteworthy, by Napa standards. I buy this because my daughter is named Scarlett. I think this is in the middle of its peak lasting at most another 5 years. It lacks the earth and structure to improve in its secondary thereafter. |
