Smells elegant, with a medium intensity of aromas; though the aromas themselves are tad simple. The palate fares better. While it's driven mostly by the red fruits (to which ripe strawberries are added), there's also cardamom pods, juniper berries, cedar wood and forest floor. Astringnet finish with some bitter herbal flavors. Medium + intensity of flavors too. The average American palate may hate this for new world PN - it's thinner and the oak influence is subtle. For me, I don't mind it. It really feels like it's from a cool climate. |
