Has some good character with dark black plum and vague baking spices, no off flavors and there's a decent texture, but the whole package is extremely shy and simplistic, very faint and un-engaging. It feels more like an excellent $15 Cab than a good $30-40 one, if that makes sense- lovely enough, just lacking oomph and complexity. |

I like it because it is buttery without excessive oakyness. Also the flavors are of the tropical variety of melons, pears and even a hint of pineapple and almost no citrus notes. This wine paired well with a variety of dishes: baked brie, beet caprese topped with grilled ahi and even shrimp and grits. |
