7/18/2014 - Sheldog Likes this wine: 86 pointsMuch more complexity than I expected. A bit on the sweeter side but not very fruity, much more on the earthy and minerally side. Worth giving it a go. We bought this after a tasting so I assume this was one of the better ones they make. |

2/1/2014 - Sheldog Likes this wine: 86 pointsThis was a lighter-bodied Pinot that was quite enjoyable. Some good fruit on the nose but not at all a total fruit bomb. On the palate the fruit was less pronounced and had hints of cacao. We thought with the cacao some dark chocolate would taste well with it. WRONG-O!!!! It totally clashed. So we tried some soft creamy cheese and that was much better complement to this wine. If you visit this winery I can absolutely recommend the Pinot. No aging required but would probably be fine for two or three years of proper cellaring. |
